I just did the BBC predictor and Accrington came 7th with us 9th, 3 points behind:
TEAM PTS
1 Chesterfield 88
2 Wycombe 79
3 Gillingham 78
4 Bury 76
5 Stevenage 76
6 Shrewsbury 73
7 Accrington 72 (+13 GD)
8 Port Vale 72 (+5 GD)
9 Rotherham 71
10 Torquay 69
11 Oxford 68
I put us to only get 1 point from our next 2 games so I see these as vital, if we get 4 points then I think we'll just sneak into the play-offs
....i know i should be working

Gillingham 3rd? Can't see that to be honest, nor can I see Shrewsbury scraping in 6th.

Chippy- reckon you got that in the bag mate.
I did a prediction about a month ago and got TUFC in 6th with roughly 70 points.
But that was 4-5 games ago. Might have another go in a min.
Having a look at previous seasons 70 points is approximately the magical number for play-offs.
So glad coming back for the last games of the season lets all get behind the team and be the all important 12th man.

No real predictions can be made until we learn our registration fiasco fate!

Well if you have a look at Gillinghams fixtures:
- Gillingham – Hereford (H), Lincoln (A), Morecambe (H), Barnet (H), Rotherham (A), Macclesfield (H), Chesterfield (A).
I can see at least 4 wins against the five weaker teams and Chesterfield will be up well before the last game.
Reg. Shrewsbury, did you mean that you don't think they'll get in the play-offs?

Chesterfield will want to end their season on a high, Rotherham are fighting for a playoff spot, Hereford and Morecambe will be wanting to make sure they're safe and Barnet will be desperately trying to get out of relegation.
I wouldn't say it will be easy for Gillingham, four of those teams have something to play for and Chesterfield, although beatable, won't want their party ruined.

You seem to have Gillingham nailed on to beat Lincoln away yet see us being lucky to scrape a point at home?

It's too hard to predict it really is. There's nothing between the top 10 sides. Chesterfield to be fair are going up, almost certainly as champions so maybe they are a special case, but the rest of us are the same. We could all beat anybody and we could all lose to anybody. It's so hard to call and we could just as easily finish 9th or 10th as we could finish 2nd or 3rd.

This is exactly how I feel, Royal. While we would expect Gillingham to beat Lincoln, I would not be overly surprised if Lincoln took the points, not because Gills aren't good enough, but this is L2, anyone can beat anyone. We are a typical case in point, circumstances aside, we smash Shrews 5-0, then draw with Northampton. As good a resource as that BBC Predictor is, it's almost equally as pointless as it is wonderful.
Matt.

I will admit to having a little snigger at the possibility of Rotherham not making the playoffs. I suspect ALF will not want to stay another season in L2 and reckon they will struggle without him...

I've been wondering for a long time who Alf is who plays for Rotherham. I'm thinking they've got no players called Alf.
Then it dawns on me . . . . . . Adam Le . . . . . .
