I was there today. Criminal not to have even got a point. I'm not a rose tinted person but every player gave 100%, especially second half and a combination of the keeper, post and referee conspired to thwart us. That said, we also wasted too many chances. There's no way Gary's lost the dressing room and we have to keep the faith.
Ellis was immense and should have had a hat trick.

Am sick of reading how well we played but still lost. Football is about winning not oh but we had a good 2nd half we are bottom of the league for heavens sake any other club the manager would likely have been gone many moons ago change starts at the top. I rest my case.
Not if those with the money are unprepared to use some of it to buy off the managers contract.
Maybe penny wise pound foolish in my estimation.

If we aren’t going to replace the manager. For the love of god, give him some of the cup money to strengthen. We aren’t a million miles off, but we will be if we don’t turn it around soon.

Just watched the Highlights and we looked like the Home Team in the second half.
We bombarded their box but the chances were just not put away. Plenty to encourage and for those at the Hive who have posted it sounds like a much improved performance against a Top Half team but nothing to show for it.

Who edits the highlights? A much improved performance? No points!!portugull wrote: 19 Nov 2022, 20:17 Just watched the Highlights and we looked like the Home Team in the second half.

Yes, we battered them in the second half with no reward. 1st half we just allowed them to play. Every game that goes past makes it harder but Barnet were high fives all round to get over our second half onslaught. If we can apply that second half performance we’ll be winning soon. COYG.

A Barnet supporter spoke to me after the game, wished us luck and said Torquay were the better team for the last 60 minutes.
We didn't look like a relegation team yesterday.

We may not look like a relegation team but the table says we are!standupsitdown wrote: 20 Nov 2022, 14:06 A Barnet supporter spoke to me after the game, wished us luck and said Torquay were the better team for the last 60 minutes.

No we don't necessarily look like a relegation team but it's what happens in the two boxes that counts , we can't keep goals out and we can't score (away from home anyway - 5 games now)
Some of these players don't seem to be learning very quickly, or don't have the drive to want to improve much. Look at McGavins poor effort to mark their goalscorer.

How many times did Dover lose by one goal last season? They were unlucky not to get something at plainmoor, but that same situation happening every week doesn’t keep you up.desperado wrote: 20 Nov 2022, 14:36 No we don't necessarily look like a relegation team but it's what happens in the two boxes that counts , we can't keep goals out and we can't score (away from home anyway - 5 games now)

8 points from the first 10 games.
6 points from the next 10 games.
Performances may be improving but points per game isn't. Although we've got 4 from last 4 games.
Beat Gateshead and it will improve our league position and show / confirm that form is improving.
Fail to win and we're in big trouble.
