Att. 3000 with 1000 gulls. Weymouth are also allowing under 13s in for free.

Tbh, it would be nice if we gave them a round of applause beforehand, as they were generous in our hour of need last season.
Their average attendance so far this year is 850. If we take 1000+ they will be more than repaid for their generosity.

I'm expecting an open game today. Weymouth are having a poor season but they beat Yeovil in the FA Trophy earlier this month so they can play when they are motivated enough. Still a Torquay win though.

Weymouth 2- 3 Torquay.

On the journey to the match we talked about weymouth's plight and how it would be nice to help them out, we were thinking about a bucket collection not gifting them two goals, and gift them we did with a nice bow on top, first a goal travelling so slow that I could have saved it which crawled under hamon's body like a tortoise chasing a lettuce leaf, the second, defence all over the place gave them an easy in. Just listened to wotton's post match and he recckons Threlkeld had a good game, obviously the view from the touchline is different from ours up in the stand because we thought he had the worst game in a torquay shirt, besides giving the ball away time and time again he was silent for the whole match which is the opposite of what a captain should be, Hayfield was doing the talking and leading by example. We lacked any final third threat and at times we were pedestrian. Play like that against Truro and we wont even get a point.

Was at the game. Having seen some FB comments and listened to Wotton, I’d have to agree with him more than the fans. Was a slow start but we did ok, I felt we needed to push on for the third at 2-1 as they were no mugs despite being bottom of the league. We gifted them two goals though, poor non save and out battled down the left hand side for their 2nd equaliser. Good away support but not 1k, maybe 600.
Thekeld gave it away a couple times but he did provide a pin point cross for the opening goal. He did ok, like the rest of the team, draw was a fair result.

Well there you are.... I was in the stand and thought Threlkeld had a good game, I remember him once giving the ball away with a cross field pass just outside the edge of our box but not much else
His performances are improving in my opinion
We really should have won that game though, bar the two poor goals
I thought we played well today, passed it well and kept possession well

A performance much like most of our performances so far, ok, with the odd glimpse of quality.

I enjoy going to Weymouth as it’s not too far and it’s a proper old fashioned ground, shame they don’t have better support.

Weymouth were well worthy of their point, we were pedestrian in the first half and when they had been told to speed play up in the second, we just didn’t have the quality. Too often taking an age and by then any openings had been firmly shut.

I thought Oscar played well tbh, he seems to be finding his feet again. Mussa is one of two players that can make something happen, but its one incisive moment in five and we need more from him. The other is the new player from Yeovil, he likes to burst forward at every opportunity but it feels like others aren’t on his wavelength. Hamon pulled off some fantastic saves in the previous game, but that shot went through him and it shouldn’t have.

All in all we have only played really well for about a game and a half this season , yet sit top of the league, so it’s there for us whether we grind out wins or hit form, with Dorking still not consistent enough to challenge yet.

Fantastic Away support again, although tbh the team didn’t give them much to shout about.

Agree mostly with above apart from Mussa, probably on my own here but fail to see what he brings to the party.
Occasional good touch but then loses it easily on the next tackle.

Dissapointed with yesterday’s performance, lacked invention, reminded me of Englands performance constantly passing across the back line, just wish they’d gamble occasionally with a pass through the middle.

Positives, we didn’t lose a game we would have easily lost last year, no apparent injuries, hid our talent for the Truro game 🤔
