Coming back to the original theme of this thread. Have Plymouth been saved or not. That last news a saw was that Friday really was the last chance saloon for them and if there wasn't a proper contract by then . that was it. The fat lady had begun to sing. Next thing I see is they are playing and losing to Crewe and find themselves bottom of the league. with promises that things will be sorted within the next week. This is so insulting to the true fans of Plymouth and the rest of the league it beggers belief. These statements have been going on for months. wouldn't it be less painfull to admit it isn't going to happen and start again and get back in the league quicker.
I am certainly no lover of Plymuff but we do need them in the league if no other reason than they are the opposition and we would have no real rivals localy. The Devon Derby would get a little stale if it was only us and excretia.
It's not the end of the world as we discovered. yes it hurts but dragging it out will hurt for them even more. might bring some reality to the football world too.

You mentioned players supposedly being on £3k-£4k a week, I said you were wrong and you are.

When Colin Lee signed Camara he was on over £1500 a week, probably closer to £1750 and was easily our top earner by some distance, I doubt anyone is on even close to that at the moment.

Most tradesmen are on way more money than you seem to think and I don't know of any of my friends in various trades that would be getting out of bed for the half you mention.

I don't think anyone would argue against football being a profession where you can earn very good money, going right down the the very bottom levels. But the vast majority of L2 players don't earn more than the general public. £1200 a week is for our captain and senior player. The other 20 squad members are below that, some of them quite a long way. Every squad has exceptions, including us, but Hargreaves was an exception rather than the general rule.

If you read my post I think you will find I am talking about leagues One and two not our team in particular. I would be surprised if any of our own team had that sort of money with the exception of One North eastern nutter who thought we were just a good earner untill something better came along at £7,000 a game. and he was so memorable I can even remember him despite his having played for Engurland. oh yes Chris Twaddle.

Anyway why is anyone bothered when the going was good they done nothing to help our plight! A few loanees may have expidited the extraction from the conference, and isnt it typical they gonna get sorted just before we play them was looking forward to an easy 3 points.

I now these takeovers can take some time, but part of me thinks that Plymouth's might not be completed until the 1st September, thus releasing the new owners from having to put up any extra cash to bring in players.. Give them time till Jan to raise the funds if they can? Or get the necessary planning permission for the site

I think it is a shame to see Plymouth bottom of the table with only 1 point. I would rather it was Exeter running the risk of religation to League 2 than Argyle running the risk of religation to Non league. I know most of their fans were gutted when we went down. Hopefully they will find enough points to stay up, but with no money I cannot see where the points are going to come from.

I think it is hilarious that The Janners are the club struggling. For too long they and their neanderthal fans ahev lorded and looked down upon us and Exeter, mocked and belittled while kidding themselves that they are a Premiership team in waiting. Even Porkus/Newell, still, on Pasoti or the radio seems to operate under the misconception that Plymouth are a 'big club', when they are not, never have been, never will be. So to see them consuming large slices of humble pie is long over-due and, even if it is wrong to feel this way, hugely satisfying.

I have a lot more time for Exeter these days, than I do for Plymouth.
