Andy is right, there's no surprise that they don't like Morris, he doesn't exactly fit into their "style" of "football", which seems to be a competition between the defenders to see which of them can hack it the furthest aimlessly up-field in the hope of a chunk of luck.
I suspect Morro got the ball down and passed to a striker's feet, instantly confusing the onlookers and the other players to the extent that they physically froze to the spot, allowing York to score the winner.

Rich is also correct. Up there with Plymouth, AC Northants are the stupidest fans I've come across. They seem to think that they have some God given right to be top. Despite the fact that they are a nothing club in a nothing town and there absolutely nothing to suggest that this will ever change.

:O

I suppose this is theoretically possible, but on the evidence of the last 2 years I'd have to say it's pretty unlikely. ;-)

Alright Jezza, I'll grant you, it's far fetched, but not as unlikely as a Northampton side who actually understand the principle of football rather than hoofing it as high and long as humanly possible.

I have to say I was surprised at him being made captain.
Hmmm ...... interesting. This is a sort of back-handed 'compliment' to Ben Harding. It would be interesting to know what Cobblers fans thought of him. I was distinctly unimpressed on Saturday but will wait a few games before forming an opinion. The words of the late Bill Shankley sprang to mind - "He looks better than he really is".

They weren't fussed that he'd left.I think they feel about Harding as we feel about Morris. However, NTFC fans have such an unjustifiably high opinion of their own standards that he could well be a properly tasty player and they would still think he's shit and that they should be Ronaldo's preferred destination...
