Really pleased with this appointment and let's face it, there aren't many football league managers who have made their boobs dance on national tv! He he.

Welcome back Greavsie and Lee Hodges. The right appointments in my mind.

On a two and a half year deal it would seem as well!

A real vote of confidence in Greavesie and a change to the recent policy of handing out 12 month rolling contracts to Managers.

Absolutely delighted. I posted last Friday that Chris was my first choice and the Board are to be congratulated. A speedy decision and the right one.

Good luck Chris and Lee. I tell you what in Alan Knill and Chris Hargreaves you could never find two men who are so different!!

Life at Plainmoor is not going to be dull and thats guaranteed.

I don't think that there is any worry concerning Mansell and Nicholson with their performances now Hargreaves is here, in fact, I think that it will have the opposite effect. Mansell's head was down, Nicholson had his problems with Knill and the game against Morecambe showed that Mansell and Nicholson still have it in them. With their old mate Hargreaves in charge, I think that Mansell, Nicholson and everyone will be up for playing for Hargreaves.

Indeed. Whatever happens this says you are our man whether it be in League 2 or some weirdly named non league division, which can only be the correct decision seeing as he is inheriting a club who are relegation favourites.

A proper appointment. Hargreaves will have the club's best interests at heart which is what we need. All the best of luck to him. Let's stay positive and back the lads all the way. COYY

Very pleased with this. The dream team. If they can't save the Gulls from relegation nobody can..

Of course you are entitled to your opinion but why 'for sure'?

What is it that upsets you so much about the appointments?

Well I was 50% right, thought Sturrock and Hodges. Look you chaps I hope you get out of the brown stuff pdq, I've mentioned on another thread that even though I'm a Plymouth bey I've always got an affection for your club having lived there for many years, so as we've finished with each other this season onwards and upwards now chaps and lets get both our clubs above that other lot up the A38/380

Who knows whether it is agood move or not. The odds are we will be relegated - if so it won't be Hargreaves fault. The lessons of last season have not been learnt and the first half of this season was nothing short of a bumbling shambles.
Having seen us play Morecambe this is by some way not the worse squad of players we have ever had.
We are capable of competeing with most sides in this league - however at the moment we are incapable of winning games. Take the Mansfield,Hartlepool,Exeter and Morecambe - thats 9 points probably and 7 points definately that we should have taken and that has cost us big time.
We need a decent striker to accomapany Benyon up front and a left back - if Hargreaves sticks with Nico we are going down.
A defence of Poke/O'Connor/Pearce/Downes/and a decent left back will do us.
A midfield comprising the likes of Mozika/Mansell/Labadie/Lathrope looks good enough.
Then there is Bodin and Chapple and Benyon showed on Saturday that if someone believes in him he is more than useful at this level.
JUst a couple of really decent additions and we really should be able to win games.
Not down yet but no time to lose - 6 points needed out the next two games.
