Same here, but not too many until the future of the club is sorted

On the surface Gary Johnson has the kind of experience that could really help us. His career win rate is 39.5% with a peak of 52.5% during his Yeovil glory days.

What about Paul Sturrock? According to posts in here he previously put himself forward as an advisor?

Kevin Millard?!

I would like to wish Gary Owers all the very best for the future - after a failure at this level, one wonders if he will be given a chance again and I'm guessing football is all he knows - it'll be a hard time. As a Manager, he doesn't seem to have been able to lift, inspire and get the best out of the Players. I'm guessing that Martin Kuhl spotted this and decidedv to move out. On the face of it, Owers should have been a reasonable appointment - an excellent career as a Player at a good level. Good luck to him.

Gary Johnson would be a great appointment - over 1000 games as a Manager with just under 40% win ratio. But he's 63 in September and the Torquay job will be no sinecure. Let's hope GJ is up for it (if asked) !

I agree with other's who have posted - let's get the right Guy in quickly !

Good luck at Hungerford on Saturday - a 'must' win indeed.

Fantastic appointment and would be very surprised if we aren’t challenging at the top end with GJ in charge. Exactly what we needed and I think this will bring the fans back in through the gates.

GJ announcement while I posted ! Great news ! Onwards and upwards then . . .

Gary Johnson is on the face of it, the best Manager that TUFC have appointed for many years . . . .

Great to see so much positivity on this board. Really looking forward to Hungerford and Lymington. Both games will be hard, but surely the goals are about to come. With Gary J's contacts we can expect some movement, from a loans perspective. BUT, he needs time, things probably won't change dramatically overnight!
I really hope Gary O gets a new appointment, and I will follow his future career with interest, as he worked hard, but it just became untenable. Nice honourable man.
Here's hoping for an away goal or two (or more).......

For Christ Sake - stop this love in with GO.

He has overseen the worst year in our history and people are wishing him good luck - do me a **** favour.
He didnt walk - he was sacked for being usless, non inspirational, morbid and stubborn.
Good riddance to the ****

And some said he knew how to set a team up................... only to fail in my opinion. Glad to be proved right, glad he's gone now time to get behind a proper Manager. Welcome Mr Johnson

MF68. GO has been sacked and you want to put the boot in with implied obscenity ? Just charming . .
Have you ever been in that position M8 ?

So I repeat, good luck to him - he faces a hard time.

I'm sure that 99% of Fans are glad GO has gone, for the Club's sake, and 99% of the Fans wish him well for the future.

Stick that in yer pipe ! ATB
