For those of you travelling from the South East (Kent etc) on the M25 tomorrow to Plainmoor, just be aware that the M25 is closed at Junction 10 at 9pm tomorrow night... this is going to be a fun journey home!

Getting old I know but it will be an emotional day tomorrow for me and i suspect others.
A club that’s featured largely in my life since the age of four (now nearly 63) Remember lying in a hospital bed following a “heart event” whilst Mr Robert’s was trying to make sure he drove us into non existence, Christ i felt so useless! Happy to say though that I fully recovered to rise to the dizzy heights of being No1 on the aforementioned psychos hit list apparently .
We’ve had existence scrapes before but last season I really thought we’d had it, the charlatans involved really wanted to take us down, as they have with other good sporting institutions, god bless Torbay Borough council for making it plain they wouldn’t be selling the freehold but obviously there was more to our survival than that with the Bryn consortium & of course Neil Warnock wanting to “give something back” a quality sooooo rare in football these days! Not going to lie, I was angry when he left us for the “club down the road” (their name escapes me right now) but Ive got to take that back now with the way he’s raised the profile of the club and the positivity hes brought. Regardless though I just staggered we are where we are today and my eternal gratitude goes to everyone involved however the forthcoming season pans out.
Suspect there will be more than one chorus of of “there’s only one Neil Warnock tomorrow”!
And rightly so!

I am not convinced about predicting the score this weekend. I was going for a single goal defeat, on the basis that Enfield are playing at their highest ever level and we are a new team with so many new signings...and no one has gone for an away win.
However, Enfield have sold their star centre forward to Gillingham and have had a poor pre season.
Therefore my first prediction of the new season is;
Torquay 2 Enfield 0.
COYY.

Bookies have this as the most one-sided game of the afternoon in the NL, NLS or NLN with Torquay at 2/5 to win. Surely we can't stuff this up?
