Well, 3 points but not a pretty spectacle with our second half tactics of hoofing out the ground and constant long throws to give away possession.
Luckily Farnborough didn't have the cutting edge to match their tidy and industrious approach play.
But why on earth do we not value possession? It is hardly rocket science, if you keep the ball it is rather difficult to concede, and you control the game, especially at home, and relieve any pressure.
Terrific run and strike by WJD, and he assisted for the second goal, but became strangely anonymous in the second half when we only sought to protect the lead with such a deep midfield.

In many ways this was a strange game. 2 up after 6 minutes we looked like we were heading for 5-0. However Farnborough did not roll over and after about 20 minutes they started going forward and the Referee gave some really bizarre decisions. He also took an age to blow his whisle to allow free kicks and generally acted like he was the center of attention. The best refs you do not notice but this one was the polar opposite.Look at me!!
In the second half Mussa had a great chance to make it 3-0 which would have been game over. Although he missed narrowly it was well within his ability. He does look fitter but continues to lose possession too often. Defensively we look very well organised but against the better teams we still allow the opposition time to shoot but fortunately Farnborough shot over the bar on numerous occasions.
Unbeaten in 10 Matches is very good and in the League we have lost just 3 out of 21 all away from home. The team are very committed and are improving as they understand their strenghts and weaknesses.
Hamon made a reaction save in the 95th minute and was very solid when under pressure. Young and Thomas have improved the team and I look forward to seeing Jack Wood our on loan signing from Southend who I think could be a really important addition to the squad. Top of the Table well done the gaffer and all the squad. Early days but we now have hope.

My comment above about Jack Wood should have said I look forward to seeing him in the starting line up. Having only signed on Friday it was only to be expected he would be on the bench yesterday but he looks very promising.
