Yes, that's obviously the point. It's not don't use the bench at all. It's don't bring on a player who is not equipped for the role he is going to be asked to play in that moment.

Lots of clubs use the former now, which doesn't account for people who don't turn up.
Not that it will be a huge number but there will always be season ticket holders who don't attend - for example living in Essex I can't make every game.

Big question when is the last time we won 3 in row?

First half was a hard watch, used to have a soft spot for Bath, but no longer, they came to spoil and not much else, their left back, on another day with a decent ref would have got two yellows in the first 20 minutes, Hamons kicking radar was off, I think his first three clearances ended up in bristows. WJD was overloaded in midfield and in any event was off his game with far too many mis directed passes and he needs to toughen up. Second half with an obvious bollicking in them they came out a different team, oddly taking off WJD and having no obvious playmaker we created far more chances, cooke seems to have benefited from his rest and having two out and out strikers caused bath all sorts of problems.
As an aside I think the crowd as reported was optimistic if not downright misleading, I would have thought 4300 would have been closer.

I’m not exactly moaning, just stating the obvious. The Wrexham attendance in 2023 was 4,908 (1,258 away) with a packed away end, today was 300 more than that, so which one is wrong?

Or to turn it on its head, the increased attendances (despite discounting for the community days) have given the board more wiggle room to enable them to bring in the likes of Jay and Zanzala.

If the club give away 900 tickets (not an accurate figure) in the away end to the likes of NHS staff and 400 turn up, is 900 added to the attendance?

Some ticket sales did used to be ‘scrubbed’ (pre-Bryn) according to someone I know who used to work at the club.

I would like to know how many were paying customers, with the recent comments that we are only 20% up on last seasons average of 2500, does this mean we gave away 2000 tickets yesterday?!

Back to the match, we did enough against a team who could have made it an end to end game, but chose not to. With Worthing losing, the title is still there. We have learnt to bring out wins without playing particularly well. I can only think of the Weston game where we created a stack of chances. This division is poor, no one can kid themselves otherwise and no team has taken the chance to be a long way clear already. Would be great if by some chance we could take top spot, always remember losing in the playoffs can have bad consequences.

Less time to plan for the following season and better players leave.
