BP and Shell under investigation today amidst allegations of fuel price fixing meaning we could all have been paying too much for our fuel these last 10 years or so the news says.
AND?!!!!!
We all knew that ANYWAY!!
We all know that a barrel of oil costs about 3p (i joke but you get the point) and a litre of diesel is about £1.45. I think somewhere along the line we do realize we are being ripped off big time so where's the news in that?
What is going to happen if they find them guilty? We won't get our money back, fuel prices won't come down any more and nobody will benefit so they may as well carry on fleecing us as there isn't much we can f*cking do about it is there?!!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
Well that is just ridiculous. A company who goes to all the effort of getting the stuff out of the ground, building multi-million pound oil rigs, transporting it to a refinery, refining it and making it work for your car so you can pop along to your nearest petrol station and fill up are charging what they like for their product. HOW VERY DARE THEY!
Obviously we'll totally ignore the 80% tax that we're paying to the Government who do absolutely f-all for it. But that's totally acceptable...
Luke i don't care who does what, who gets what and how. All i want is not to be conned and pay the going rate for fuel which is NOT the price it is at the moment. Whoever is responsible just sort it out and let us get on with our f*cking lives!

True, I just find it incredibly hypocritical how an organisation, no doubt Government funded, are criticising companies for wanting to make money from their product whilst the amount we're actually charged by the companies is around 35p, the rest is tax.
I know mate, the thing that annoys me most is when a planned fuel duty rise is on the cards and the Government then say that they are going to postpone it to help people. What an absolute load of bullsh*t! Firstly it's too expensive anyway as they are ripping us off with the tax and secondly they will only put the price up again AND MORE after this 'relaxation' period has ended! So they give on one hand and then take it all away plus some more with the other!
Can't they all have accidents or something?

It doesn't work though as even i can see through it.
Here's a revolutionary idea, why don't they come up with a plan to reduce fuel prices long term and so doing what they are paid to do which is make the country a fair and reasonable place for all. Because they don't have to pay for fuel probably so why should they give a sh*t?

Because they'd have to annihilate us for tax somewhere else. Fuel duties account for £27.3 billion which is the 6th highest form of income for the Government, although not as high as I expected. Still, it's 3 times the tax earned through tobacco and that's after half of the country has quit smoking so it can't have been that bad on the NHS...
