Disappointed Leadbitter isn't going to make an appearance.

We have 3 strikers on the pitch. I'm not sure the criticism of being 'too negative' can still be levelled at Knill. The players have to be brave on the ball.

That's a good point Steve but you're forgetting the fact that only one of them is any good and he can't be arsed by all accounts. Mackers and Thommo should be on there and the midfield is going to be seriously overrun IMO. Labadie is still and unknown quantity and if he fails to shine that leaves Mansell and Jarvis? I'm not being funny here or defeatist and i praise the 4-3-3 but he's just picked totally the wrong players IMO and this is certain defeat here tonight with a complete mullering at Southend should we play the same team.

God i so hope i'm wrong and you all can take the p*ss later on if we've won. I'm pretty resigned now and any glint of hope for a win has just been taken away with that team selection.

Sorry all :'( :scarf:

My only hope is that Dagenham aren't a good side and have pretty bang average players like we do and they have a really patchy home record so i'm hoping that the 4-3-3 pays off and the players he selects hit it off and somehow pose some problems. The thing is if the ball doesn't stick then it's going to be coming straight back at us.

So Oastler keeps his place which is nothing short of astounding. No Leadbitter,Thompson or Yeoman on the bench who I would say are our three best options. In fact we have no striker among the subs so the omission of Yeoman makes absolutely no sense at all. We have no right side at all with Oastler/Jarvis and the inclusion of Cruise makes us look weaker as he has been nothing short of a liability when he has been on the pitch.
I have totally given up on Knill and Taylor as they are trying to do exactly the same thing which hasn't worked at all.
God I hope I will be proved wrong tonight but just cannot see us getting anything with that line up.

In fact, sod it. That line up is a mess and the game is gone. Can't believe it to be honest, i'm going to read the paper on the bog for 5 and make myself a coffee and watch the Barca game and God help any of my cats who fancy jumping up on my knee to waft there cacky asses in my face! Bloody annoyed. Knill, prove me wrong as i'd rather have the 3 points and take the flak for doubting.

Yes me too - I will happily be proved wrong at 9.35pm but Knill has not got the first clue what he is doing.

Just to clarify - and I think I know the answer - am I the only one online who fancies us to win?

I must be delusional!

Must admit, I too am amazed that more changes haven't been made. It is certainly a "different" approach ... I've heard, of course, of Manager's "sticking by a winning side" but I'm a bit surprised at Knill's decision to "stick by a losing side"????

Hope to be proved wrong, but not feeling confident, I must admit.
