For some reason F1 still appears to get bad press but it is actually exciting and the introduction of DRS and Kers (?) has helped with that. Strategy is also hugely important, as you say. However I'm not sure why they ditched the whole 'refuelling' aspect of the race. I thought it was much better when that had to be worked into race strategies as well. Sometimes you'd end up with someone with an almost empty tank further back in the field and they fight their way up the grid so they could maintain a position after they pit. I'm sure there's some simple reason as to why they scrapped that part but I found it enjoyable.

well, more specifically, the muppets that use them, and they come in various guises :-
1. the old Doris who has no idea where she is, let alone how to use the till or where to put the money, so stands there looking around waiting for an attendant to come and help them do it !! please just go to a till, that has an attendant already sat there, ready to help you.
2. the mum with three kids, a buggy and a trolley full of shopping. Really, is the self service express till your best option ?? It is ?? oh ok, we'll all just stand here while your damn kids squabble over who is going to scan which item, and then decide they don't want to bag their item, but run around the f**kin shop with it while the bloody machine sits there refusing to do anything else until said item is put in the sodding bag !
and finally number 3, my favourite, who scans through the shopping, and just puts it on the platform/bagging area - but NOT IN A FRIGGIN' BAG. then they pay, and THEN put the shopping into the bags. For fooks ache.
if you really have to do any of the above, please go to the store at midnight and fill your boots, not midday when the rest of us are popping in to grab a few quick items (hence using the express tills) during their lunch break !! thank you.
Nail on head! Yes, it makes my p!$$ boil, and I'm a socialist by upbringing and nature, but i'm afraid if the Tory b@$t@rd MP who suggested benefits be paid on a card with no cash going to the recipients ever got his suggestion agreed then I'd walk to his constituency to shake his hand. Benefits are there for neccesities not luxuries, and if i've told this tale before apologies but....chunkygull wrote:you know what really grinds my gears ?
people who live a life of riley on benefits.
why is it the country is in a right sh!t state, gazillions in debt, people losing their jobs because of cuts, we are told we all have to tighten our belts.... yet some get money showered on them like confetti. there are benefits for this, benefits for that and those that make the decisions on who gets it cannot seem to fathom who genuinely needs it and who is taking the p!ss.
i see many people i know who are on benefits and dont work that have job seekers/dole/income support, housing benefit, council tax benefit, extra money for alcohol and drugs if needed, and all the various benefits there are for knocking out 3+ children i see many of these people living a fun, comfortable life, doing exactly what they want - smoking, drinking, gambling, going on holidays, wearing designer clothes, they have lovely new furniture (in their nice flat/house that benefits are paying for), driving 4x4 vehicles, got flat screen new tvs, and much, much more.
final F**kin' straw - last week i heard of 2, yes 2 women local to our area, who are serial benefit claimants that have had tit jobs. both have given birth to a gaggle of children each so i guess the obscene amount of money they have both received because they have CHOSEN to have that many kids has paid for their plastic surgery.
To be fair to one of our esteemed posters- "makes my p!$$ boil" doesnt even come close.
each week there seems to be more and more stories of injustice in the benefit system by those receiving far too much of it. yet, there are those who really need it and cant get it.
we keep getting told, you cant blame those who are claiming it if they are better off, its the system to blame. yes, but many F**kin' lie to get what they want or it seems the easiest way is to keep having children.
i remember even only 20 years ago when myself and my mates were petrified of getting our girlfriends or casuals/one night stands pregnant. and likewise the females were a bit scared also. we all knew we couldnt support a child financially and all the things that goes with it. we always used to be told if you cant afford to support children then you should not have them. your lives could be f***in' ruined and you will have to work your fingers to the bone to pay your way and support yourselves and your children. now none of that seems to be a problem and indeed many see it as a right and not a privilige that the government supports them if they wish to have children.
watching jeremy kyle and this morning at times there are many examples of how the benefit system just encourages these people to live a life they want and they dont have to work for it.
2 stories stand out for me, there was a couple on this morning who had 7 children, neither work (dad says - so many children he has to stay at home to help also) ,got a massive house, everything paid for by the tax payer.
dad has had a vasectomy (should have done that at least 4 children ago). mum decides she is broody. must have another child. borrowed sperm from her daughters boyfriend. had another baby, number 8.
schofield and holly (pphhwoarrr) are horrified by the the seeming immorality.
that aside, schofield asks- "who pays to support all these children"
dad replies "we do"
schofield keeps repeating the question more and more forcefully and the dad repeats the answer more and more aggresively and defensive.
schofield says "you arent paying for them, if you dont work, the taxpayer is paying for them.
dad replies "we do pay for them, we pay out of our benefits"
points are made, defensive arguing ensues, offense is taken, outrage is evident and through the whole affair the brazen, immoral, irresponsible, scrounging pair of dip$h!ts cannot see the wrong in what they have said and done.
today there was a woman on the programme who altogether as a package is claiming up to 70 grand a year. she does not intend to stop and get a job either. she had a job earning 100 grand a year. she CHOSE to give the job up to have 3 children and then stay at home with them.
divorce has led her to claim benefit but somehow she has a big posh house in a nice area for her and the children. one of her kids is grown up and part of the benefit total is to pay for his university. she drives the customary 4X4 and has a fairly comfortable life by all accounts. not far off the life she was accustomed to. in fact she was bleating the benefits were hardly enough because after she has costed up all her bills and outgoings she is only left with about £164 a week disposable income.
she justified her huge housing benefit by stating she cannot possibly leave the area she lives in, it just simply isnt an option and she would have to reclaim all her benefits if she moved.
i always thought people had to make sacrifices when faced with tough times or when you have children.
another infuriating story this week, a girl who didnt work etc, hasnt really paid into the system, got a boob job worth £4,500 done on the NHS because having small tits was causing her emotional distress. now she has them disproportionately large and is glamour modelling. Surely because her assets given to her by the NHS are making her money she should pay back what the op cost?
of course you read that this week and then the usual stories about care trusts not coughing up neccessary money for kids to receive certain cancer treatments or there is the usual postcode lottery for various types of treatment and care.all very fair isnt it.
there are many many more stories, i havent even started about immigrants coming here and claiming, i could go on, but that willl do....... for now!

It's called being moody, I've always been the same (due to my upbringing I think, but thats far too long a story for here).
I'm not Bi Polar OR AM I?
It's always been called moodiness, I suffer with it but I haven't got a made up syndrome, it's just the way I am.
One thing is certain, it (along with ADHD, ADD, ODD, BBC, CIA, FBI, MI5, t**t and a whole host of other imaginary illnesses) is no reason to sit on your arse doing raking in money for doing nowt!!
