Same shit, just a different day, different league, cant defend, cant score, not even from the spot, ho hum, a long way to go yet.

We had this all last season - missing a penalty is such a blow. 2-1 at half time and we could have been positive of a comeback. As it is, it's so deflating... Dodgy defence on paper has been shown up already.

Cruise is getting absolutely torn to shreds by the sound of it...

Time for Ives to have a go ? He surely cannot be any less effective than Cruise.

I thought there was a good chance we'd get beat today but the manner we are losing this game just seems to show the nightmare of last season especially considering the penalty miss is far from over. The last few years of being a Torquay fan have been far more chronic than usual. I really feel for those who have travelled and have to question my own sanity drving from Bristol on Tuesday for the Welling game to support the Baker and Bill Phillips circus.

Working on a Saturday sucks, but I managed to listen to the first half. Not gonna bother with the second half, might actually get some work done, its preferable to listening to Cruise get skinned and Tonge misread things.

Get Ives on, its a no lose situation for him, plays poorly, we've already lost, plays well, confidence builder. Wish Yeoman was on instead of Benyon.

Maddison is one of the best players in the conference - not sure I would out Ives up against for his first first team appearance

Funnily enough, all of the Mansell bashers might realise this season how important it is to have someone who will chase and chase to disrupt. Hopefully we get in their faces more second half.
Mansell reportedly excellent for Bristol Rovers today..

I don't really remember Mansell disrupting anything other than our attacking play last year.
