2 out of form teams

Too much for Welling to do now

A much needed win and so say all of us! This was a display of improvement and guts. Bowman showed just the right reaction to being dropped with two key goals. To his credit CH showed that despite the flack a manager can get he rallied the team to an important victory. Yes ok one win doesn't mean a change of fortune but it does give some hope for the last eight games.
I've said all season we need to finish in the top ten as Conference history says a team which finishes in the previous top ten has the best chance of promotion the next season. Barnet are the latest example.
The key to next season remains in who takes over the running of the club.

Finally the reaction we have been waiting for!
Having Bowman on the bench was the right decision, Campbell looked well up for the game and Bowman knew he'd have to match that!
Downes was my MoM got his head to everything, Ives was great and Dawson had his best game, up against Hughes, who lets be honest likes to put himself about!
Kidderminster played lets kick like young but he put in a performance today especially the pass leading to goal no.2!
Only downside was Rice with some poor kicking and nearly letting the ball slip through his hands and into the back of the net!
Ref - well Huxtable turned on idiot mode a few times but that makes winning even better as he clearly dislikes us! Bizarre decision to not make a player who received treatment off the pitch, also was an early penalty on ajala!
Crowd - low numbers but sang throughout which was great to see, onto Woking now!

Should have added the most important tackle of the game was Dawson on Hughes who was about to bury a shot past Rice which would have given Kidderminster a win. A game saving moment.

A massive moment in the game that did not go unnoticed by me either.
A word on the ref too. Without sounding patronizing, not only did he look like a kid so crap at sport that his parents saved his blushes and their cash by not buying him any proper football boots at school.
Wearing 'Clarkes attackers' today confirmed my suspicions.
NOT GOOD...

Without trying to damage the 'good spirits', a win against a totally useless (and I mean, worse than our form useless) team doesn't mean we 'reacted'. It also doesn't mean Bowman is a top striker.

Totally agree with dannyrvtufc4life.
Other than we managed to scrape a narrow victory against a very poor side nothing has changed in the overall scheme of things we were still only average, a very slight improvement.
If Campbell hadn't been injured Bowman probably wouldn't have come on until Briscoe ran out of steam.
No way was Ajala man of the match either yesterday or Tuesday. One pass does not a performance make.
Downes by a mile yesterday.
Please keep Huxtable away from us next season he is a disgrace.

That's true. But it also doesn't mean we didn't react. However, given our team's previous poor recent form, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt on this occasion.

I don't think anyone has suggested he's a top striker. After all, he's not playing in the Premier League. But, like many other strikers, given the right partner up front in a half-decent team with the right set-up (for example, wingers who receive proper service from mid-field and are therefore able to put over crosses into the goal area), then he is certainly capable of scoring goals at this level.

Regardless of how crap the opponent was yesterday, a win does wonders for morale, and it may be that the team take the momentum forward and go on a decent run.
It's amazing that, when we lost on Tuesday, there were hundreds of posts slagging off everything that was/is wrong with the club and yet the majority of those people disappear when we get a win......
For goodness sake, if we are quick to moan, let's be quick to praise too. Yeah, there are still faults, but we won yesterday, we got three points and we are (probably) heading towards a mid table position. There has been a lot wrong this season, but let's give the team some credit too.

As poor as they were, Kiddi were better than FC Hogwarts of Narnia that beat us 5-1 on Tuesday. A couple of really weird games.

Well said Scott. I have been highly critical of Hargreaves and the team. But I am delighted to see a win and give credit where it is due. We have had precious little to celebrate recently, let's just celebrate the fact that we won.

Whoever said football was a game of two halves was kind of correct Huxtable was crap in both, only question being was he was bad as the spineless Lino on the popside? Think the ref probably shaded it.
Want to say we did the important things correct and we probably did bar the lack of confidence in front of goal (both of them) but sooo close to another defeat from a game we should have won a little bit easier than we did. The one thing Huxtable did correct was deny the penalty when Bowan choose to go down in front of the away end goal, why? But that can be cancelled out by the penalty he should have given in the first half that the popside lino should have given. Singing on my own on Sat but glad I went to be honest.
A win that probably makes us pretty safe now and kind of begs the question what side does CH play when we are safe?

I am actually amazed that we won - perhaps leaving Bowman out gave him the kick up the arse he needed. Kidderminster clearly are not better than anyone because they are bloody awful so to suggest that they are better than Braintree is nonsense ( a bit like suggesting Ajala would be playing in the championship by last Xmas)
