Okay, I'll bite. :whip:
What investment would you have put into Torquay and how would you have moved the club?

Immediate investment would have been put in the club to enable it to GUARANTEE conference premier status this season - something which is quite clearly up in the air. The current squad was thrown together at short notice and on a limited budget which I dont believe is a paticularly good recipe for success. So the manager , Paul cox, would have been given funds to strengthen! Success , on the pitch, would have been then judged on achieving a higher points tally and or a better league position than previous in the following season..
Off the pitch we would have invested our time heavily in community activities - such as visiting schools and using some of the more matture players (for every thick 10 there is 1 good one) to coach after school sessions for buzing local kids who believe they can be the next leonel messi. If you get them intrested in torquay united at a young age , they can become long term fans , and it promotes a good community feel. this would have coincided with the relaunch of the youth team for next season with trial games taking place in the new year. This is something Paul cox was massive on
take a look at the peninsula league atendances for how popular football is in this area - it has some of the biggest attendances of any league at step 6 in the pyramid. so the little torquay , clubs in this area are isolated, is complete rubbish. the potential is huge!

So georg(e) who exactly are you and how close were you (if you ever were) from securing the ownership of the club and was your intent of investment known before the current board came in or after?

We believed we were close to securing outright ownership at one stage - as to how close that actually was you would have to ask Dean edwards. The intent of investment was always up there until a few weeks ago , which came just days following Paul cox and Dean edwards departure. At that point contact was made with two other clubs - one conference south and one football league , both in need of investment.

And there we have it. Absolute proof that you and the gimps you work for know absolutely sod all about football. Thank f*(k you and yours never got anywhere near our boardroom.
Out of interest where would the millions have come from? (and it would take millions to sign the squad of Championship internationals required to get anywhere near guaranteeing safety.) A Glazer style mortgaging of the club?

'A Glazer style mortgaging' would never have happened - and wont happen at any club were involved in.

So where would the money have come from? Is Kelvin Thomas looking for a football in which to 'invest' his own personal fortune? Just how were you an Kelvin Thomas and everyone else involved in your bid looking to make money out of us (us being Torquay United - for we are united).

For the record , guaranteeing safety would have been done in the same way Roland wycherley guaranteed Shrewsburys promotion from league two last season. Its much easier to stay in a league than win promotion - tho promotions are much more enjoyable.

The money is, was , and always has been there!!
The part about making money out of the club is what people on here believe, but there isnt a great deal of money to actually be made when you consider the assetts and viability of certain things. Assett stripping is also not part of our plans at any club.
