Oh yeah, a right cracker. There have been more red cards than shots on target. A nice 0-0 and men missing for both sides'll do.

Bury down to 9 men now, come on Burton, have you no desire to stay up?

Since I'm talking to myself...
Just been on the Bury board to see how last night's match went. Apparently, they got the sort of ref we always get (in so much as he got everything wrong) but the sort of ref we never get (did everything in his power to win Bury the match). The Shakers all agree that the Burton red was a joke, the corner from which they scored was a goal kick and that Bury were awful all night but got the three points.
GRRRRRR. Still, you've got to be up where they (and we) are to take advantage of that sort of situation at this stage of the season, so well done to them for that, just might have been nice for us had they not got the result they apparently, so unjustly did.
Lots riding on Saturday now, we need the three points to keep pace with the automatic promotion pack.

I've felt all along that it is Wycombe we're chasing, not Bury.
If we can beat Port Vale and then Wycombe I think the table will look a whole lot different by then.

I have to agree, the fact we have still got to play Wycombe at home, realistically we should be gunning for them and 3rd spot.Southampton Gull wrote:I've felt all along that it is Wycombe we're chasing, not Bury.

I know this has been mentioned else where but Bury should beat Barnet, Shrews should beat Stockport and Wycombe should beat AC Hampton we need to beat Port Vale on Saturday to stay at least 5th. Stevenage have a tricky game with Aldersh!ite, so could be a draw, Gillingham could potentially beat Morecambe and Accrington may draw with Oxford. Looking at that lot if we don't beat Port Vale (or at least get a point) we could end up 8th (if Port Vale beat us 11-0 we could end up 9th).

Just done the BBC website predictor; my forecast is we will miss the play offs by ONE point. Grrrrrr. The ONE point we lost because of the Hereford game fiasco. ![Angry :@](./images/smilies/grrrrrr.gif)

Fate: A police dog called Bryn bit Torquay player Jim McNichol and the time while he was receiving treatment was added onto the end of the second half.

I just got the same result!!! We were clinging to the play offs on goal difference above Accrington after Saturday 23rd, picked up a little but on the final day they just edged us out. Shrewsbury sneaked the automatics with Bury, and Stockport and Barnet went down. Good job it's addictive - I'll do better next time.chippygull wrote:Just done the BBC website predictor; my forecast is we will miss the play offs by ONE point. Grrrrrr. I can see one of the three 'top v bottom' matches producing a slight shock. No real basis, other than that's how L2 football seems to go. Perhaps Bury v Barnett, Bury with two key players out and a tough Tuesday game behind them, Barnet on decent form and a sniff of a chance of survival, new manager syndrome and a free week?

Yep. Wycombe still have to go to Bury as well. If we win the next 2 I reckon we are in with one hell of a chance!Southampton Gull wrote:I've felt all along that it is Wycombe we're chasing, not Bury.

I see Rotherham have appointed Andy Scott as boss today. Unsure with this - did well with Brentford, up to a point and then got the boot. Sort of appointment that could go either way.

Awayday, what games are you going to before the end of the season with the drum? Presuming there's something to play for in each of them..Awayday wrote: I have to agree, the fact we have still got to play Wycombe at home, realistically we should be gunning for them and 3rd spot.
