I'm walking on eggshells at the minute Nick but dare i say that Man City's squad is not as good as people think it is. Yes theyhave Tevez, Aguero, Dzeko, Toure, Komopany and Hart but they also have a lot of ordinary players that wouldn't get a look in at most other elite clubs like Barca, Real etc. They have the most money but a relatively poor squad in comparison to the big boys.

Oh yeh I also see Chesterfield are replacing John Sheridan/Tommy Wright with Accringtons Paul Cook. Interesting one, be a bit miffed if I was a Stanley fan though.

I think the local up here was all for giving Wright the job on a full time basis when he first took over but he has had some bad results especially the last minute Fleetwood shocker at the proact yesterday. This has made the board do a rethink and they want someone else in. I don't think the fans here would be happy with Paul Cook as i think they are under the illusion they are a biggish club and want a 'name'.

Cook appointed Spireites boss today apparently. Not gone down well. UEFA Cup tonight, been watching Liverpool v Anzhi and Liverpool are having problems scoring again. They are doing well but just need Andy Carroll for this one. Rapid lost 4-0 at home to Bayer Leverkusen (HAHA!!) whilst Spurs got a draw against a second rate Maribor side. Poor.

Cook is a strange appointment. Especially considering Accrington didnt have any kind of form in his last few games before he left.

Yep. Anyone else see Alex Nicholls leg break yesterday in the Northampton-Vale game? Horrific injury.

Does anyone know what happens if a teams 'second' team gets promoted into the same league the first team are in? For example in Spain ( and many other countries, teams have two or three sides like Barcelona and Barcelona B ). What would happen if Barcelona B got into la liga?

Yes I did on the league show last night. Horrific. and it wasn't the most horrific tackle i have seen. some have been worse and done nothing more than bruising. Not surprised the guy got sent off though. I wish the guy well. No one wants to see anyone get and injury like that.

First big laugh, Rooney nominated for the Ballon d'or. Like he HAS a chance. Second comedic moment, Roberto Mancini is nominated for manager of the year. Bloke spends zillions of pounds yet still ends up with a team that includes Gareth Barry and Joleon Lescott, manages to win the Premier League in the dying seconds at home against 10 men strugglers QPR in his SECOND season. Both seasons include embarrassing Champions League showings despite them having spent zillions on EXPERIENCED players. PLUS on more than one occasion he admits to failing to prepare his team for a vital match. Yeah, gets my vote.

The rule is, they can't be promoted and in the same league as the senior team. This has only happened once in the last 15 years when in 98-99, Atletico Madrid B finished second, but they had to remain in the second division.

As well, if shock horror happened and Barcelona were relegated, Barcelona B would also have to automatically drop a division. This happened last season when Villarreal went down, Villarreal B were forced to drop as well. Barcelona B also cannot play in the Copa del Rey.

Cheers for that AJ. I have to ask the question then, what's the point of having these teams in the league as it totally devalues the entire league does it not?

Just heard that Norwich City were charging £30 to get in last nights League Cup game and they then have the cheek to complain there were only 16,000 there! Who are running these clubs? Coco and Ronald?!

Liam Richardson appointed Accy boss and Henning Berg starts work at Blackburn today months after slagging off the Venkys saying they were running the club into the ground and he wants them out. Amazing what a bit of money can do to change someones views isn't it? Weak b*stard. Should be a politician, that's all they do. Say what the people want to hear until they get in power and realise how many perks there are and then they change their views. So in short POLITICIANS = W*NKERS, HENNING BERG = W*NKER.

Southend sign Tamika Mkandawire aswell - another good L2 signing.
