As a reminder of the scoring system I'm using, I tried to devise a system that is as fair and representative as possible, but as you can imagine, it's a pretty tough task. The system I went with gives points for each game, weighted from positions 1-5, with extra points for being man of the match (ie first). Every person suggested scores at least a point.
It's noticeable that the games with the highest number of replies have been the games where a neater consensus has been reached. So if you are at a game, then please take just two seconds to list up to five players who deserve some credit, and then by the end of the season this might be an interesting tool to use when deciding a player of the season. Certainly the more people who reply, the more accurate it will be.
In the 36 games played so far, 29 players have scored points, ranked below in order. The number in brackets is the number of points I've equated the nominations to. It'll mean nothing in itself, but it's useful to see the proportions of who is trailing who by how much.

Branston is pulling ahead of Zebroski week by week, and is now 14 points clear. To put that into perspective, that's two games where Zebroski is man of the match and Branston scores nothing at all to draw them level. I think Mansell is too far back for a late push, so it's a two horse race that Branston is clear favourite for so far.
Mansell has pulled away from the rest of the pack after a combination of some excellent form from him, Benyon leaving, Ellis dropping off the face of the earth and O'Kane slightly slipping.
Stanley has already made it into 8th place, and will is looking hugely likely to finish in 4th place if he maintains his form, which has been unstoppable. He's only played 12 games for us (Macclesfield was the 13th), scoring points in all but one of them.
With Stanley having already blown Nicky Wroe out the water, Jake Robinson still has a battle to overtake Benyon. In 12 games he's managed to earn 34 of the 56 needed to match Elliot, so with 10 games left it's neck and neck there.
Other than that there's not too much that's noteworthy, other than perhaps Lloyd Macklin, who did enough to earn a 3 year contract, but is rock bottom of the table with just one point. Ronan Murray and Saul Halpin are the only players on 0, which is hardly surprising given their lack of minutes.

Zebroski, Branston and Mansell are all level at the top of the table - all to play for!
---
In the 36 games so far, Guy Branston has been voted man of the match by you the most times, with 7.5 (Branston and Bevan were joint Man of the Match for Oxford away, so they get 0.5 each).
Chris Zebroski (5), Craig Stanley (4) and Eunan O'Kane (4) are trailing behind, with Scott Bevan (3.5), Elliot Benyon (3), Lee Mansell (2) and Jake Robinson (2) other multiple winners. Mark Ellis, Kevin Nicholson, Joe Oastler, Danny Potter and Gavin Tomlin have also been nominated with a single win apiece.

I hope you find these interesting, and if you have then please contribute to the MOTM threads if at all possible. I can't emphasise enough just how much better it is when there's a large number or replies for a game.
