Not countingg chickens with tonights result but surely automatic promotion is in our own hands
With Port Vale, Wycombe and Chesterfield to come to Plainmoor and a last game away to Rotherham 4 of our remaining 8 games are against clubs who are in the mix with us and wins against these teams would improve our position and damage theirs with goal scored effectivly being a double whammy.
We seem to play better against the top teams.
However this is the Gulls we are talking about - plenty of games to disprove this theory.
As someone who was hoping for a mediocre mid table position with no finger nail biting, nerves, stress etc etc when was the last season that a Gulls fan could enjoy such a luxury - when relegation, promotion or play off possibility was NOT on the agenda with 8 games to go - it must be at least 8 years!!!!!
In our own hands

Chesterfield should already be champions by the time they come to Plainmoor, which is fantastic for us. Wycombe will be the big one if we keep our current form up..
One game at a time please. A defeat to Norfampton and wins for everyone else could see us in 9th (or something silly).
Lets not get too carried away, yet..

the way we ar playing at the moment with the 4 strikers in the team we scare the s@&t out of every defence we come up against, and with our strong bench we have the ability to finish these matches well, also with this attacking mentality we are giving the defence time to organise properly and remain intact, our midfield looks strong and fuss free with stanley and either lathrope or okane and for this time of the season we look top to bottom as tough a team to beat as anyone ive seen for a long time, other teams are stumbling and we are progressing very well and beating sides with confidence. 5 wins and i reckon we are gonna put others out to roost.

I agree with Nick, let us take things one match at a time, but for the sake of this thread and some pure speculation, the OP is entirely correct. It is mostly in our own hands. The teams around us will not (and, without checking the fixtures, I'll take the risk of saying cannot) win all their remaining matches, because they have to play each other. We are in an excellent position and, given everything, it represents an unbelievable achievement for TUFC, an achievement of which we should all be very proud.
