On Saturday,

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not go anywhere near the pitch with a hosepipe. Its no coincidence that since you've been soaking the pitch before every game we haven't scored.

and the players can't stand up. Who decides on whether to water or not?

I'm sure I've seen in the past that Buckle asks for it to be done?

Agreed. Hope someone from the club looks at this.

Water the pitch by all means, just don't do it for an hour with a **** great hose with no nozzle on the end. What's the flow rate of that, do we think? Hard to guess, maybe 30 gallons/minute more even, that's FAR too much water and not spread evenly either, just dolloped all in one place and left to fend for itself.

Matt.

The problem is, if there is no hosepipe put onto the pitch, the ground would be too hard and make slide tackles rather painful and because any long balls will just go flying off the pitch. In reality, they need to absolutely drench the pitch on Friday night or very early Saturday morning, not at 1pm, 2 hours before the game.

And they need to use the sprinker, not a direct source as mentioned before

Very true, maybe for the next anniversary we can all chip in and get them some 20 quid ones from B&Q.

If they did water the pitch at 1pm it wouldnt be 2 hours before the game any way it'll be 4hours and 45 minutes because kick off is at 5:45, but yer i know what you mean, they need to leave a good few hours before the game

I was talking about the previous games but as we're point scoring, your name is gramatically incorrect. It should be " 'til I die", not "tillidie".

Well they did it again didn't they.

Disappointing, although didn't seem to have a disastrous effect this time round. If Zebs had actually fallen over properly and not scored I would have been angry.

Also, pitch didn't look that great saturday. Must have been the kids running on it! At least its got the summer to recover now.
