Big, solid centre-back, very rarely gets injured, in his prime. Gary Johnson letting him go for no good reason, what does everybody else think? Would he be a good signing?
Not rated by some on the Northampton forum but we all know what they're like on there 8/ .
Others feel he is lacking in confidence. I think we could perhaps do a little better.
Are we thinking that Ellis will be off?

Maybe or Bucks feels he has had the best of Branston and won't renew his contract.
Can see Ellis going, unfortunately. Far too good to be sat on the bench each week, could easily do a job at League 1 level.
I hope he stays as I really think he'll have a good future in the game, but any potential is being slightly hindered by us at the moment, due to a lack of playing time.

I mentioned this a little while ago after someone posted it on a matchday thread. If Ellis is refusing to play then no amount of talent will excuse his behaviour and we should let him go. I'd rather keep Branston since he has been the one on the pitch doing the job. Also now Branston has done his coaching badges he could be even more valuable in terms of our youngsters on the training ground.yellowsmiffy wrote:I was told Ellis was refusing to play because of a big fall out with Branston. No idea if true or not, but would certainly explain his dissapearance. Shame to lose Ellis because he is exactly the kind of player that we want to be developing at the club. So much potential, but he cant afford to sit on the bench much longer.

I know Mark's Dad and he's not mentioned anything about it. He still hoping he'll be back in the side soon.yellowsmiffy wrote:I was told Ellis was refusing to play because of a big fall out with Branston.
