Best of luck

Well done Torquay, good luck in the final from a Reading fan who's always liked the Gulls.

Bit of a grudge match, after Stevenage's non-promotion in 96 and the resultant court case?

Will be watching on telly and cheering for you.

Cheers mate, we have a few Royals that follow us, must be a good catchment area for us. Can we borrow Shaun Long? :)

I'm sure they'd be delighted to let us have Shaun Long. However, SHANE Long might be a bit more difficult to get hold of! :-D

Well bugger me, pedants at this time of the morning :)

I actually watched him destroy Cardiff the other night as well, blonde moment at 1.15am

Well, Matt isn't online so someone has to keep people on their toes!

We don't need Shane Long anyway, have you seen Tomlin in the last couple games?! Swap Kee and Zebs around and thats a strong forward line!

I was thinking of next season. Only one of those will be around by then ;-)

Well then lets hope we get a new manager with no respect for Buckle and basically milks BR dry for players Bucks wants to buy then!

Agreed.

Once he goes we can let all the Gasheads know about Buckles shortcomings as a manager ;-)

I hate to say it, as I love Bucks and really do wish he would stay on. Generally, I think his pros far outweigh his cons.

But I just really can't see him being successful at BR, he'll have a good start then go on a bad run like he usually does and will be jumped upon by the fans. I just have a feeling the pressure of expectation will be too much for him and it might be another couple jobs before he gets into another successful club. If we do go up though, Buckle is an absolute fool to drop down a league.

I agree with all that. If, IF we go up. Buckle and Torquay are made for each other, if it's to be a parting of the ways then I see poor times ahead for him as well as us.

Budget constraints are why this has happened, it's hard to take when we're on the verge of something special and with a young hungry side. I can see a scenario where we get promoted, lose the manager and half our team and have a board with no means of backing us in the way needed. If anyone thinks I'm just being pessimistic then think again.

if Bucks leaves us he is an idiot. Whats the rush ? He can do better than than a bunch of arrogant Northampton style gasheads and prove himself at TUFC and go to manage a Championship club. Oh ha ha Argyle not included !!!

Think of a possible set of circumstances that would force his hand and make him somewhat less of an idiot.

If we do go up, the job really is not done. If he can then keep us up, maybe then is the job finished. And I thought Bucks wanted to stay until the job is done anyway?

Oh well, I suppose if his managerial career goes wrong, he's always got a career in Politics to fall back on...

I just really cannot see the benefit to joining a club with barely any players left, have just been relegated and could be playing a league lower than his current club next season. Great, they've got a few extra quid, but he's already proved he doesn't need money to create a good team. Maybe he's too scared to go up to L1!

I agree again. I'm afraid it's too late..................but if there's any way of holding it all together then victory is essential next weekend. If he goes anyway and we are promoted then I fear we could be in for a long hard season.

Saw him at Michael Wood with his bird last night after the game. Missed opportunity to say something, really.

Also was sat infront of Simon Baker during the 2nd half, should have asked about a train!
