Anyone going from the Bristol area

Post by Glostergull »

Hi Guys
Is anyone going from the Bristol area who would like to share costs. My wife and i would like to travel but in the present climate we cannot afford the train fair and I have severe problems with my tendons in the hands so can't drive for a while. My wife really doesn't feel confident driving that distance but she would be willing to either share driving and costs if given a lift. either PM us or ring us on 07890 891 345. otherwise we will watch in the local Pub.
Come on yoooooooooouuuuuuuuu gullllllllllssssssssss.   :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:  :scarf: :scarf:  :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

I looked on Trainline.com anmd rail fair was 32.50. But if two of us went up it would be a bit expensive for us. Car is our only real option as costs with 4 up are a lot less than coach or train fairs. I am off sick with damaged tendons at the moment and being self employed don't get sick pay

just checked megabus and they qoute £40 for the outword journey starting at 06:30 and £30 for the return journey leaving at 18:25 which I doubt we could make as the interchange is likely to be too far away to get back to in time. although I don't know. in any case we can't afford that

Come on - surely there is someone travelling up in a car who could help these people out.

Will try Louis but train has now been ruled out as they only list fares above £63 each and thats not including getting to Old Trafford. Had a verynice phone call from a guy at Exeter Mercedes. we had a nice chat and it's nice to think people out there are thinking of us. It really inspires me to raise as much as I can for the sponsered walk on the 10th July.

It would be worth you starting a thread for listing pre-season friendlies with that as the opener.
