Pucklechurch Sports clash a big step towards promotion, and you can be a part of it! After a gritty 0-0 draw at leaders Marine Academy saw United take control of the SWRFL Premier title race, Lee Mann’s side now know back-to-back wins in their final two matches will see Torquay promoted straight back to the FA Women’s National League at the first attempt. With last week’s game at Sherborne postponed and now being played on Sunday 25th May, the ladies final home game of the season against Pucklechurch will take place on the hallowed Plainmoor turf this Sunday 18th May (2pm KO), with the three points needed to take the season and the title to the last game of the season in Somerset.
Backed up by a fine showing from the Yellow Army on their last visit to Plainmoor back in March, United ran out convincing 4-0 winners over Bishops Lydeard on their way to chalking up an amazing nine consecutive league wins. Having lost their FAWNL status in heartbreaking fashion on the final day of last season, Torquay’s women are now just two wins away from bouncing straight back – and YOU can be there to cheer them on to success!
