And so Buckle begins

Seems like he's setting the groundwork to build himself up nicely, already alluding to budget constraints at supermassiff Rovers.

How long before he says they are overachieving on a shoestring budget

"It's a challenge for me". Our hearts are bleeding Buckle. Change the record.

I can assure you this is not rubbish at all. We have for the last few years paid ridiculous wages to VERY average players and this is proven by our inability to get rid of them. They are happy just to sit on the bench or not play at all but still pick up their wages. This fact was first picked up by Dave Penney when he came in. Personally I wopuld say Lennie Lawrence is probably the one to blame for us paying ridicul;ously high wages but on saying that Rickie Lambert trebled his wages when he left us for Southampton!!

It's safe to assume he has more money to spend there than most in this division. Wasn't that part of the reason for the move?

It's textbook Buckle. Tell everyone who'll listen how tough your job is, to make your own acheivements look better. He's a walking PR campaign.

When he's managing Real Madrid, people are going to find such comments harder to believe...

it may very well be the case, but already Buckle is distancing himself from the way the club has been run; this is something he did with us, probably so that later on he can either a: use it as an excuse if things head south, or b: use it to big himself up when he does ok ("I've got this team to playoffs despite not having a pot to piss in")

Just seems a bit unnecessary, especially when you'd expect him to be aware of the situation before he signed. (i.e. january, heh) it also makes you question his wisdom in jumping ship; are Rovers really a 'better' club for him to be at?

I think we should believe Mr Buckle because he's proven in the past that he only speaks the truth...

when he's sucked the life out of football, he'll be running for PM, the jumped up little gobsh*te.

ha, imagine his speech on the economy. "we're a little country, we've got no money, but look what i've done, against much bigger countries like latvia and estonia, we've won the eurovision song contest................"

kn*b.

To be fair, I don't think even Buckle would think he can help us win the Eurovision Song Contest!

it's a perfect one for his ego though, cos ordinarily we've got no chance, and he's got the haircut for such an event !!

Getting the excuses in early then..."Were only Bristol Rovers you know with a much bigger club in Bristol City just round the corner its always hard for us"

i wonder if he sits at home, playing football manager, loses a match, then re-plays the same match over and over again, refusing to change tactics, make subs, until the computer gives in and lets him win, so he can there sit there in his own golden glow and say to himself "there, i knew i was right".

Do you think masturbation involves him googling his own name?
