Danny being given the proverbial" kick-up-the-backside" by Ling on OS.
Very much needed IMO-lets hope Ling being an ex-winger will get the best out of him.
Last chance saloon Danny boy!

Now thats more like it. At last we see what our new man is made of. He takes a promising player and encourages him to be more like he should be. rewarded with a 2 year contract if he doesn't show consistancy in the next year he may well find himself out in the cold and on down to BSP. But I sincerley hope Danny takes to head and heart what Is said and applies himself. he could be devaststing if he wanted to. another Joe Kuffour in the wings. and Joe can turn matches. Danny can too if he works hard. he is so likeable it would be a shame to see all that talent go to waste.

A good contract for 2 years so Danny has to perform and show a lot more consistancy and the managers comments show that is exactly what will be required. Getting a warmer glow about things as the signings start to get done.

Just two x keepers required now otherwise rush goalies next season

Fingers crossed for a signing very soon!!

It's all good & well Ling giving him a kick up the backside & Stevens saying he's determined & all that, but at the end of the day does he have the ability to nail down a 1st team place?
I have 2 memories of Stevens last season. One, that amazing goal he scored against Stevenage where, to be honest, wouldn't have gone in 999 times out of a 1,000. The other was that horrendous run through on goal in the Stevenage game......I just don't think he's good enough.
Prove me wrong Danny!

With a new manager as we know,it can often be te case that a player frozen out under the old manager can flourish,Danny need a run of games though, used sparingly by Buckle and often on the wrong side did Danny no favour's,this is his big chance, lets hope he take's it.

Ok, I'll hold my hand up and admit I've used the hobbit's head as a raking grate to clean the sh't of my toe 'tectors.
As all start a new season with a clean sheet and unmudded boots, I know it won't be long before the hobbit gets used as a cleaning tool.
How many points will we lose before Dinger realises the hobbit doesn't have the physique to compete consistently at League level ?

DS has always struck me as too small to be a pro. There are exceptions to the rule that overcome the physical side by being either (a) very determined or (b) possessing a good footballing brain.
I have never witnessed either of those attributes from the Hobbit. He seems to give the ball away too cheaply and often in the wrong place.
Should have been on a 6 month prove yourself deal at the very best. Mr Ling s first error I fear....
