It's on the website now.

Initial reaction isn't to be overly happy. If Howe and Atieno sign then I think that leaves us very weak up front, and Atieno has "first dibs" on the 2nd striker signing...

Gas here. Hope you don't mind me posting on your forum. Was quite surprised to see this signing.

For what it's worth I thought he was OK for us last season. He holds the ball up well, but is really slow and sluggish at times. If he's partnered with a pacey striker that scores a lot of goals then think he'll be a good signing. Think he'll struggle to get into double figures though as not really a goal threat. He scored 1 goal in 8 games for us.

Can also be quite temperamental at times. As I said though if he's the target man with a nippy striker playing off him he could do well.

Content with that signing. Think he could do a job for us given the chance.

My mate peterborough supporting mate said that Rene How could do a very good job in league 2, but could also be a good player for league 1. He is strong and good in he air, he can score goals too and will do a good job for us in the coming season.

If we can bring in McManus too we will have a very strong front line :)

Happy with this signing. Billy should score plenty playing off him and he will chip in with a few himself.

3 years ago i'd have thought this quite a decent capture. He was considered a better player than Scott Rendell when they were together at Posh i think. But Rendell has since forged a decent career in the lower Leagues, whereas Howe seemingly hasn't progressed. Whether that's down to attitude rather than ability, who can say. I think he has the makings of a decent player. But whether he'll ever deliver on that basic ability is down to the player himself. We do seem to be building a mis-fits 11!

Happy with this, 24 years old time for him to start settling in now. Hopefully this move gives him that stability he clearly needs and he can get some goals for us. Yep good news.

It'll be interesting to see who we line up with as a partnership on the opening day.

Bristol Rovers fans seem to think he ended last season a bit overweight, and is best played with a pacy striker to feed off him.

We already have a pretty good striker in Billy Kee, who with the options we have at the club is surely a nailed on starter. Kee and Howe don't seem ideally suited to playing together at the first look.
