It looks superb, it will do with the rain so far this summer.
Groundsman (to the new manager) : "How do you want the pitch ?"
Manager : "You're the expert, give us a pitch to play on and we'll play on it."
I take this to mean that we won't see a pitch drenched by hosepipes after it's been pissing down the previous Friday night/Saturday morning al a Paul Buckle.
Not only can we look forward to seeing players play in their preferred/natural positions, we can also look forward to seeing said players keeping their footing on a playable surface.

I am looking forward to the pitch not being watered to a point where it's stupid. I will never forget when we watered the goal mouth at the Family Stand end until a muddy puddle was formed! Only at TUFC
I have noticed that the side line has been moved further away from the pop side.
Maybe Ling has asked for the pitch to be not as wide as it was before!
Yes, I noticed this too. But hadn't we already got one of the narrowest pitches in the league?
On reflection, the narrowing of the pitch is almost certainly aimed at giving the contractor for the new grandstand a suitable working area. The design of the new structure is such that they will require much of the old "running track" for access to the front of the new structure.
