As some of you might be aware, and some of you might not be, there's a prediction competiton run on this site across the season.
Like the real thing, the action starts tomorrow, so it's a great time to join if you haven't before (and a reminder if you haven't already predicted). All you have to do is predict on the selection of fixtures we post each week, and the half-time, full-time and first Torquay goalscorer from our game. Every six weeks there's promotion and relegations between the league's to keep things fresh - if you predicted last season you'll start where you finished last year. If you're new, you'll start towards the bottom, but pretty soon you can work your way up the divisions if you do well. Last year we managed 6 seasons (of six weeks each season), so if you start in Division Three you have the challenge of over-taking the posters starting in the top two leagues.
All you have to do each week is post your predictions. We do the rest, and the tables each week will be posted on Sunday/Monday for you to check your progress. Most prediction threads will be for Saturday games, although we do include the occasional mid-week as well. Threads will be posted two weeks before the fixture in question to allow everyone a chance (If anyone goes on holiday for longer, PM me and I'll sort something).
The first thread can be found here:

The tables for the first week are posted. If you predicted last season, then you'll find that you're still in the division you ended last season in. If you're not going to carry on this season, then I'd appreciate a PM to let me know, so that we can sort out the league tables. In two weeks anyone who hasn't posted yet will more than likely be removed. If you forgot for this week, then the thread for week two is already posted in the PL forum.
For any other new posters, you can now see how it works and how simple it is to join in. We're always looking for new entrants, so feel free to join at any time. You'll be at a slight dis-advantage having missed the first week, but there's still five more weeks to go this season, so anything can happen. You'll start in Division 4 (maybe Division 3 if several of last season's posters pull-out), so the only way is up!
The thread for Season One, Week Two (Bristol Rovers), can be found in the Prediction League forum.
