Yep me too mate. I watched a re-run of the Football league show and must say how much I enjoyed seeing the little weasel looking so uncomfortable. Now it's over and we won I feel it's time to move on now and focus all our energy on getting behind Martin Ling and the boys for the rest of the season. To a man they all did us proud and I hope the fans that were able to make it helped give the players and Staff the same kind of feeling. Certainly yesterday was a great day to be a Torquay fan.

Amazing day, cracking noise from the TQ fans and a professional job well done to win 3 pts.
Just watched the goals again with my daughter, who`s booing at the tv when Buckle came on. She learnt a few new words yesterday, along with hand signals.....lol lol
What was pleasing for me and Buckle probbly hated it, was the chants of `Martin Lings Yellow Army`.........cos in the 4 yrs he was here i certainly never chanted his name and very rarely did the rest of TQ fans....lol
Enjoy today, reading the papers, reports and stories.......the hard work continues on tuesday......see you all at Aldershot !!!!.....COYY !!!

What a marvellous day out in Bristol. And the programme is a keepsake featuring, as it does, the face of a t**sser.
It was personal, and boy did that make victory all the more sweeter.
I thought Rene Howe put in one of the best individual performances that I have seen for a long time. He is built like a brick out house for keeping the ball but he has the touch of an angel.
And his assistant in crime Tino made for an admirable double act.
It was nice to see a shape to the side and people playing in their right positions. Dinger obviously believes in 2 strikers fed by 2 wide men. Just need Danny S to up his game or to be replaced.
Hats off to the chairman Simon thingummy for his shrewd appointment.

You are right there mate, it did feel personal and boy did the weasel get his comeuppance. Howe rammed those critical words written on here by Rovers fans right down their throats with a fantastic performance.
Not sure you can credit Baker with too much influence on appointing Ling, I heard there were other Board members who were vociferously in favour of coming to a decision to appoint Lingy

Wow!
First time I have been able to access the site due to the technical probs but I am very much still buzzing!!
In one sense it was only three points but the match was a massive occasion, especially for ML who must have felt a big sense of apprehension in the run up to the game. Having been out of league management for a few years he must have wondered how it would turn out, in the end he has already made himself a cult hero at Plainmoor! No one expects us to hit the heights of last year but based on what I have seen so far I have been very impressed with the way he goes about his business and we defnitely have a team to be reckoned with. I can't see any reason why we should fear anyone in the division and I hope we will have enough to stay out of trouble although it is still early days. A fantastic performance by everyone in the team and a superb turnout by the yellow army.
As for Buckle there's no doubt yesterday was as sweet as it was going to get following the summer we've had. Watching him squirm on the football league show was worth the licence fee alone! One of the things I'm most pleased about is I feel ourselves and Rovers can move on now, as others have pointed out it has layed a few ghosts to rest. A final mention to the Rovers fans - I'm sure many have/will be gracious in defeat but I reckon a lot that flooded this messageboard recently won't be back giving it large for some time!

The time for the football league show is 50 min in.
Great day out yesterday made even sweeter by the result haha!! Thought the fans were excellent as well, a few chants at Buckle, Zebs, Muzzy, etc but glad we kept the focus on our boys!!
When Manse came over to clap the fans at the end you could see how much the result meant to him, he looked over the moon!!!
Happy days and long may it continue!

Great result. As for Stevens, I saw him make a few excellent shrewd passes which the big front men failed to anticipate; but O'Kane gave the ball away a few times, not quite up to his usual high standard. Overall though, too good for Rovers. Wins on Tuesday and Saturday, which are more than possible, could put us top of the table and make the rest of the division very afraid....yellow wrote:What a marvellous day out in Bristol. the gas fans behind the goal were giving it a huge "you fat b**tard" while he lined up that penalty, so it was even sweeter to see it hit the back of the net.Southampton Gull wrote:You are right there mate, it did feel personal and boy did the weasel get his comeuppance. i was close to the tunnel, and saw the cameras and clem run on to meet bucks as he was hotstepping it towards the tunnel. if he could've dodged those cameras he would've. he looked absolutely shell shocked. priceless !!
