No proper OP for this one, due to a lack of time from all concerned.
I might do a retrospective one, but for now, whack all your match day drivel in here and we'll wade through it in our own time. :~D
Matt.

i'm fearing the worst today even with the departure of sinclair to posh, going for a 0-1 or 0-2 away win i'm afraid, hope i'm badly wrong as i have been often over the years!!

It seems in the past few games we haven't played well at all, I want to see an improvement today, better passing, create more opportunities. I think today will be a draw/home win, I do think we need to play better though, and if Saah is starting he needs to make a huge improvement.
Sorry for the lack of a starter guys; as Matt says, lack of time dictated that we couldn't do it. Admittedly I only asked him yesterday...
Normal service should be resumed for Northampton.

Anyway, on to todays game...........
So Oastler back in at RB, I'm guessing Macklin on the Right and McPhee up front.

Worth mentioning that it looks like Steve Evans still has his hold over Mr Buckle. 2-0 Crawley now

I don't know, was wondering whether that was going to be our good half or our bad half.SuperNickyWroe wrote:anyone know how we did first half??
Looking at the bbc stats and commentary, really hope that was the bad half.................
I've just spoken to someone at the game, but can't vouch for this myself. Apologies if some/all of this is inaccurate!
It sounds like the two sides are cancelling each other out a little bit. Our best chance fell to Atieno, when Morris crossed for him, but his shot was very tame. The suggestion made to me was that he's perhaps struggling under the pressure of being the no.1 striker today. Macklin has been a bit quiet, and Bobby has had to pull off a couple of smart saves. Macclesfield's dangerman has been their no.14 Diagne, and he's being doing some good work for them on the left-hand side.

About the team, any word on shape? McPhee up top or is Macklin up there or O'Kane?
Disappointing that Ling feels no youth striker is good enough for the bench. He said he was happy to give youth a chance rather than the loan system, but if he needs more than just one fit confirmed centre-forward in the match-day squad perhaps he won't be turning to youth?

Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...
McPhee played up front in the first half, and was industrious but, like the rest of the side, lacking a bit of quality.stevegull wrote:About the team, any word on shape? McPhee up top or is Macklin up there or O'Kane?
Attendance: 2307 (126 Macc)
1-0 Saah - header at the far-post from a Nicholson corner. Deserved so far for a much brighter 2nd half.
