Quote of the month - October

The idea is that on this thread you post a favourite quote from one of the members, something funny or amusing as a one-liner and the one that is posted the most on the thread will get the prestigious title of 'Quote of the month'. It's better than the X Factor, you know.

I've been somewhat reliably informed that if you don't wish to type out the quote and write who gave the offering then you can click 'quote' on the actual comment and then copy and paste what you are left with into this topic so your vote is cast. You can also edit out the parts of the quote you don't want, so if the funniest bit is a little quip at the end then you can just leave that in the quote box.

There was some support for this when i mentioned it on the other board, so let's hope some people can get behind this for a bit of banter!

I'll count up the votes at the end of the month but i thought it was better to have the topic there for the whole month so people can come and drop in their favourite quote as they please...

I'll have a go with the "Quote of the Month" thing by voting for Troj, for this quote on Danny (Dorothy ;-) ) Stevens:

Made me laugh a lot reading his comments on Stevens on the "Player abuse(Robertson)" thread.

Enzo wrote: Sorry, I completely misread your post. I thought you were explaining to a Bristol Rovers fan who had just witnessed a fantastic perfomance where Rovers "ripped Rotherham to shreds" and "passed them to death" your belief that it was a freak game - which based on BBC stats Rotherham controlled until Branno got sent off. If only I'd have picked up on the highlighted part, I'd have realised that the other 5 or 6 lines of your post were completely pointless and without any relevance.............if you wanted to take nothing away from Rovers why did not just ask him whether, having been at the game, he thought the stats were a fair reflection rather than advising him not to get too carried away.

By the way.......we pi55ed all over Gillingham today according to BBC text and stats. I would certainly not wish to take anything away from Gillingham after what clearly was an excellent result, but from what I saw, it was more a case of a freak game - we bossed possession, won more corners and whilst Gillingham scored 5 of their 6 shots on target we had 9 and a further 9 off target. Clearly an absolute travesty. Gillingham fans should be worried only to have 6 shots on goal during a match. They have been very lucky as when a team concedes two they are normally very lucky to even get a draw.

Irrespective of whether you made a w@nk post or I posted "old crap", statistics prove that statistics prove nothing.
POST OF THE WEEK BY ENZO - LOVED IT!!

Okay, here are the nominations for this month. If people could cast their vote after this post simply by stating which one you like best or 'quoting' it. It's completely up to you! The battle is on for the first ever QOTF!

Trojan posting regarding Danny "Dorothy" Stevens

I'm pleased to announce Enzo as the first winner of Quote of the Month!

Next month, i play do to it a little differently, I'll post one up in the next couple of days where people will only post 'nominations' and then in the last week i will make a new topic with the quotes in where people can vote!

Congratulations Enzo, if you read this!
