Email Andrew Candy. He'll sort it out for you.

I have.

He hasn’t.

Still judging by the response I am the only one who hasn’t received their free ticket. :'(

He hasn't? Strange. Hopefully he'll read this and help.

I'd copy and paste the email you sent and send it to every email address on the OS, more chance of someone doing something about it maybe

You are not the only one. I renewed my subscription and emailed the club asking if i would get a free ticket. They told me that i would receive an email soon. This was before the season started and i have heard nothing.

Hi Yellow,
Sorry but this is the first I heard of this.
I set my own standards high and pride myself in replying to every email even if I am unable to help. I don't recall receiving your email but now that I am aware of the issue I will pursue it on Monday to find out how this commitment is to be honoured. I will try and get a response on the OS so that all fans are aware.
I am sorry that you and others have had to chase this. I promise that you will get a reply.
Joe- thanks for the kind words!
Best wishes,
Andrew

Thank you Andrew. I appreciate your words.

I must admit that when I looked at the OS it was not entirely clear how to contact you. I sent the email to [email protected].

I hope that you are able to justify Joe’s faith in your ability to sort things out. It is one of those minor issues, however they are exactly the sort of things that can so easily create a good or a bad impression of our administration.

Andrew is an excellent addition to Torquay United and I am glad we have him here. Other clubs would pay good money for someone like him.

Yellow: That email address is for Dean Edwards (Commercial Manager). Andrews is [email protected] I believe.

I still need to claim my free ticket, although with our current spell of form, I think I might wait a while.

Andrew - How does it work with the free ticket? Do we need to tell you which game we intend to see or is it a blank page which we can take to any game? Can I use this at an away game too as I live in Cambridge and therefore miles away from the hallowed turf of Plainmoor!

P.S. Do you have any experience at football management?!

Hi Cambgull,
Sorry but I don't know the answers to your questions as I was not at the Club when the promotion was advertised. I will try and find out tomorrow and get a reply posted as soon as I can.
To answer your other question which smacks of desperation, very limited experience at under 16 level. I am not the answer but thanks for asking !!

As promised I have spoken to Tim Herbert the Club's Webmaster about the free ticket promotion with Gulls Player. Tim has a list of subscribers and will be sending out an email with the details of how to claim your free ticket once he has spoken to the Managing Director later this week. With 2 games to cover this week, Tim hopes to send the email out by the end of this week/early next week.
If subscribers have not heard from Tim by the end of next week, please can someone let me know and I will chase it up again.
Regards,
Andrew

Fantastic, thanks very much for your help Andrew. It's great to have someone at the club who interacts with the fans. It seems all too easy these days for staff within clubs (in general, not just TUFC) to hide themselves away and avoid having to do the old "customer service" jobs, so you certainly are a breath of fresh air!

Hi Cambgull,
Thank you for your kind words.
Hopefully this is now being resolved and you hear something soon. Let me know if you don't hear by the end of next week.
Regards,
Andrew

Well done AC for getting the ball rolling.

I still think it is a shame for the club that it did not happen automatically, but I agree with cambgull that it is good to have a point of contact who seems to actually care.

In the past I have written both a letter to Mike Bitesize, and sent an email to Alex Rowe on separate subjects. I didn’t get a response or even an acknowledgement in either case.

Keep up the good work.
