Another Ticket Problem

Bought my tickets for the Argyle match over the phone. Asked for a student and the bloke said 'Youll have to show your card' to which i replied 'Thats cool'. Was quoted 16.50 so happy days, even with postage, as were not allowed to collect on the day, is still cheaper than an adults ticket.

So was surprised and not happy to see an adults ticket and 21.50 charged on the reciept.

If this was any other company i would be furious, im still annoyed but at least i know my extra 5er is going to the good cause.

However, my point is even after being quoted the price and talking about being a student the lad on the phone still got it wrong. How is this still going on, i thought we would have learnt after Old Trafford?

Human error, the poor kid has ballsed it up, no need to get panties in a bunch. Call the club, tell them what has happened and they'll surely help you out. We are in the poorest area in the South West, we probably pay the lad peanuts, we're bound to get a monkey, not a brain surgeon. I'm sure this sounds harsh on you SD, and I'm sure you just want to vent your frustration, but the answer on this occasion really is very simple, just get it sorted out. It's hardly a cock up on the scale of OT or CTFC. The club are trying to improve, and they are getting there slowly. If we're going to pick up on every little mistake they make, this board will be very busy, and deeply unpleasant.

Let us know how you get on.

Matt.

I'd give them a ring, it's not good enough. You should be given a refund an explanation and apology. This sort of thing happens too often.

Matt I understand your point completely but I agree with Parry that this sort of thing happens to often! Also im sure the likes of primark and businesses of such ilk employ the same standard. But i dont get charged an extra 5er when been quoted a price.

Matt, it isn't difficult to make a note of what tickets you've agreed to sell while on the phone, then find those tickets, then put them in an envelope, then send them.

It shouldn't be happening at all really, but I'm glad it hasn't been on as large a scale as OT or Crawley..

Phone the club up and ask for Andrew Candy, he always pops on the forum from time to time and really tries to make things right.

Not trying to come down on anyone here, this is nothing more than a simple mistake, no it should not happen agreed, it does however happen in big, and small buinsness up and down the country every day of the week were simple little mistakes are made.

I think who ever took your ticket order was probaly doing soemthing at the time, finished of the task, and put your order through, forgetting you odered student tickets, mistakes are nothing to do with how much you pay someone, they happen at all levels.

As said ring the club, i am sure they will correct this with out a problem, hopefully :)

All sorted. Thanks for the advice. It was only a slip up by a member of the club.

i know yr being daft about that game being all ticket, but theres NO way that the blades game will be made all ticket, their away end, a two tier affair, has a capacity of 4,300, or at least thats how many wednesday were allocated.

i imagine that we'll get the lower tier, which will be more than ample for the amount of fans we'll be taking, i'd like to imagine a 1000 gulls there, we normally get 250-300 at northern games, if they're played on a saturday and the team are doing well. so if we could double that and add a few more then maybe 7-800??
