Firstly, can I just point out that NO Bristolians refer to their city as 'Brizzle', it's one of the few words that we don't actually drop the 't' from.

Secondly, Buckle is a c**t- but then, I suspect you already knew that.

Been reading through the Rovers forum, it's as comical as ever! Buckle has lost the fans and his excuses are going to become more ridiculous the longer he is still the manager of Bristol Rovers.

According to this:tp://x.com/#!/BarnetAkela some Gas heads were throwing bricks at the Barnet supporters coach after the game!? Can any of our Gas head members clarify this? And maybe tell us why this ridiculous act of violence occurred?

Buckle, to read the forums of your 'bigger and better' club after most matches is pure comedy gold so thankyou for being so shite and too arrogant to realise that what other people tell you may be the way forward just may be the way you should be doing it. Whats the alternative? Continue in your misguided belief, suffer further embarrassing defeats then lose your job. Is it really worth it just for the sake of being proved wrong? You really are a phallus and don't deserve employment.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Its like a civil war on those rovers boards.

These two quotes did give me a giggle though.

'Fantastic success' ?? He got Torquay out of the conference and managed a best position of 7th in the 4th tier of football. If you think that's Fantastic then your expectations really have been seriously lowered. Sad.

And an FA trophy final at Wembley. And a play off final at Old Trafford only last year.

For a tinpot club like Torquay, yes that is fantastic.

Another offering from the Rovers forum:

"Buckle is a disease. A vile virus spreading through the club we love and is poisoning everything he touches. He needs to go now before he kills the club off completely."

I told you so springs to mind!!

All these 'tinpot' clubs, keep having the nerve to actually turn up at The Memorial 'Stadium' instead of knowing their place and forfeiting pre-match. Then, most of them have the balls to actually win the game, have these teams NO respect for the mighty Bristol Rovers, who, after all, have spent almost their entire existence in the Premier League, and whose trophy room holds many, many hard earned replicas of the European Cup, the UEFA Cup, the FA Cup, the Premier League trophy and many, many others. Oh wait, that's not right, is it...? Oh no, they're a pathetic West country outfit which isn't even close to being the biggest club in a 5 mile radius, which has spent the vast majority of its time in the bottom two divisions, has never won anything of any note, and gets barely five grand through the door despite being in one of the largest cities in the country. Is this the pot calling the kettle tinpot?

Face it Rovers, you're nothing. You might think you're a big fish in a small pond, but you're not, you're almost the smallest fish in the BIGGEST pond on Earth. Overall, you count for nothing and have absolutely no ammunition to throw around. You want to play the big club card, that's fine, I'll see your Bristol Rovers and raise you Manchester United, who have more fans in Alaska than you do in England. you are a club who couldn't attract 10,000 fans if entry was free and you were giving out Playboy Bunnies to every attendee. Man Utd could fill a million seater stadium every week, even if you had to sniff Trojan's jockstrap to get a ticket. Stop keep on with the whole "look at us, aren't we great" rubbish, coz you're not, you're poo and look as if you should be!

And breathe...

Matt.

As Southampton Gull said great rant Matt! :~D

Maybe this quote should represent the rant in stevegull's quote of the month?

Watney Cup winners 1972 I'll have you know.
By the way, it is not a good idea to judge an entire clubs support by the rantings of a few forumers. Forum ranters tend to be by their very nature over stressed individuals with few outlets for release (i.e no girlfriend/wife).
Now go and enjoy yer win over Plymuff (they're a big club aren't they?) and leave us alone to wallow in our self pity.
