Di Canio furious after the draw with Rovers

I thought we had a very honest manager with Ling but Di Canio certainly wins on that score!

He has also said he wants to get rid of players but noone wants to leave. He wants 4 or 5 new players and we should jump in quickly to try sign up billy.

Martin Ling's way is better. Di Canio appears to be too, shall we say, emotional?.... authoritarian?.... continental?....
Will be great to have Billy Bodin here as a permanent signing; Di Canio presumably has little interest in him, but let's hope the fee is not unreasonably high.

Seems a bit OTT for me, but he's the manager..
Quite amusing though.

I think this is him more trying to get a reaction from his players. If i was the Swindon chairman i'd think twice about putting even more money his way, seeing as they will undoubtedly have one of the highest wages budgets anyway!

I think if i were a manager i would certainly be in the mould of Di Canio and not Ling. Neither of their respective approaches to management can be decisively confirmed as the best and just because Martin is calm on the touchline doesn't mean he lacks passion. That said i would be ranting and raving on the touchline and if i wasn't happy with something i would tell the people responsible. If my players didn't do as requested or did not try they would get one chance only to rectify. Failing that they would be out the door. Most importantly of all i would never lower myself so low as to be a yes man to the chairman. I would risk the sack for my principles ( twice i have left jobs in my normal working life due to not accepting somebodys decision - just because they are in a higher position of power doesn't make them better or right ). Regardless of how much money i had in the bank i would walk if i was being played like a violin by the board. In addition, although wholly unprofessional most would find it, i would actually come on the forums and respond to posts just as hoteliers respond to criticisms of their establishments on trip advisor. I'd be a bit Cloughie, honest and fair, black and white, eccentric and bizarre but above all i'd be successful!!!! Haha!

Shouldn't take the micky really as his (PDCs) English is far better than my Italian but I love the way that he pronounces More-cam-bay and Tor-kway in that interview!
