Is he going? Twitter post at 4.24 this afternoon. "Just been offered Man united and Tottenham jobs. What do I do?
Is this a joke or really? Is he being scouted that high up?
Anyone shed any light? Anyone who knows Eunan does he joke like this?

He is being scouted by the Championship at least, if you believe 'The Sun' newspaper yesterday (this was in the middle pull-out section). It states that West Ham are leading a group of clubs checking out O'Kane.

The Sun also claims that Thierry Henry is going on loan to Arsenal for a month.
Hm

Sorry boss!

I can only go by what I read - even if it is The Sun!!
Nico's Football League News by Graham Nickless (Page 21) - "West Ham are leading the posse of clubs down to Torquay to watch Irish midfielder Eunan O'Kane. The League Two strugglers fear losing the Everton reject, signed from Coleraine, in the January sales"
League Two strugglers?!

.........Thanks for that!

Jesus, L2 strugglers?!? I understand that we aren't going to be the back page headline any Sunday soon, but for f***s sake, is it too much to ask for the writer to have a quick look at the bbc sport page to ascertain if his particular choice of noun might be accurate. If its not Man Utd, they just don't care, I'm amazed they even know L2 exists.

If only you knew what i knew. I know for a fact that 5 clubs are watching him which 4 are from the championship. I do love having friends working at clubs around the UK.

Have to say that I think by this time next month we'll of said goodbye to Eunan. As long as we get decent money for him, then I'm happy. To be fair to him, I think he probably signed the new contract knowing that he was going to be leaving in the near future, meaning we could get a bit more money for him.
Wouldn't be surprised by the West Ham rumour to be honest, I would of thought Reading would be another side possibly looking at him. Certainly wouldn't mind him going to either of these sides, especially Reading as I think he would get the opportunity there. Of course it is all speculation but I remember when we played Reading in the League Cup and their manager said he would of happily taken a few of our players and I believe they included Eunan and Elliot Benyon.
Seems a genuine lad, who has worked hard at his game in the time he has been here and deserves to be playing at a higher level. I just hope that he goes to a side where he is going to be playing week in week out so that he can fulfil his potential because he can and hopefully will become a top end Championship player at the very least. Will certainly go on to become a full international with the Republic of Ireland, could even force his way into the Euro 2012 squad

Spot on with that one mate, I didnt know about West Ham were one but i know Reading are. But can you guess the other 3 championship sides and one league 1 side.

I think the Reading thing has been a long term admiration from their side. I remember when we gave them one hell of a game last season in the League Cup, Buckle said he'd spoken with Brian McDermott after the game and he'd said he'd take 3 of our squad of us there and then given the chance - I always imagined those names would have been Benyon, Ellis and O'Kane.
I always thought Eunan at Reading would make for quite a nice fit, and wouldn't begrudge him that move at all.
