Bristol Rovers Christmas Cheer v Plymouth 2-3
I apologise that it's another Buckle thread and I'm sorry Rovers fans for sharing your misery, but I couldn't resist!

Just seen this elsewhere, absolute quality! Funny how you dont see many Rovers fans on here now crowing about taking our management team and players. Forest Green must be licking their lips next season with boxing day/new years day games against the gas

That was a league 1 fixture last season, what price on it being a BSP fixture next?

our own result was enough of a christmas present for me. but then checking the results, seeing rovers were 2-0 up before losing 3-2, well, that put an even bigger smile on my face. now i'm having a damn good laugh having just watched that clip. said before i've got nothing against rovers or their fans - in fact, i absolutely love their fans after seeing that clip - but Buckle is getting everything he deserves !!
to add insult to injury, Jo Kuffour scored twice to down Crawley - but he wasn't good enough for Buckle's mighty rovers !!

I got a DVD of Kiera Knightly and Taylor Swift together in a paddling pool fully of jelly for Christmas. Even so, today is a better day based on nothing but this exact video!

In football you don't always get what you deserve, a win v Sheff Utd in the cup is our case in point, but in this case Paul Buckle is getting absolutely everything he deserves and long may it continue. Feckin hilarious!! 'We're too ambitious for you Buckle' was the cry of one angered Gashead. He is in fact incorrect, nothing is too ambitious for PB and thats the problem. He believes he is a top manager - the problem is nobody else does.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I would have once considered myself a diehard, Ive watched Rovers for 39 seasons, the majority as a season ticket holder and watched them play at 140 different grounds and agonised over what I know now were meaningless results ( League Cup and Leyland Daf losses against Torquay even spring to mind!). I will always watch Rovers of course, mainly for the social side of meeting up with mates who I have known for donkeys years, but I find myself just not really caring anymore, which, as the club as been such a big part of my life is really rather sad. I stayed at my sisters near Bath xmas day, and had already made the decision to give my season ticket to a mate as I couldn't be arsed to get my family back to Bristol for an early Boxing day KO, which may not seem a lot, but my wife is still in shock over it! I was being texted the scores yesterday, but honestly didnt feel anything when we took the lead, and once it was 2-2 Id resigned myself to the fact that Plymouth would get a winner.
Luckily Im off to Scotland tomorrow for the Old Firm game and New Year so I get to miss our next home game, and I dont even know who its against. Not entirely sure what the point of this ramble is other than to say I wish Paul Buckle wasnt our manager- thats about as nicely as I can put it

I'm all for Plymouth getting one over on Buckle. However, i just had a quick scan on the Plymouth forum, PASOTI, and they are talking about getting into the Play-offs this season!!! They've clearly been enjoying post-christmas drinks.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Blow any football video. Can I borrow your Christmas video mat. Better than watching the Gas any day.ferrarilover wrote:I got a DVD of Kiera Knightly and Taylor Swift together in a paddling pool fully of jelly for Christmas. Even so, today is a better day based on nothing but this exact video!
