I'm not, but might be swayed after watching 'Proud and Prejudice' on Monday about the E.D.L. and the extreme Muslims who were featured.
Except I wouldn't be a racist, as one of my closest friends is a moderate muslim who as family elder invited myself and Mrs Beard plus all the little Beards to a family wedding celebration as his personal guests just three weeks ago, and we had a lovely afternoon
(albeit alcohol free!)
No, it wouldn't be a race issue, rather a religious one. o:)
I'm a devout athiest, I think anyone who believes in an almighty deity in any form, or life after death or all the other mumbo jumbo is quite frankly a bit odd. I think we live, we pass on our genes, we die and the worms eat us. But nevertheless I believe in their right to follow that belief.
The extreme Muslims who want all of Europe under Sharia law dont agree with that freedom, so my 'Religious-ism' would be aimed solely at them. Remember these are the very same people who burned poppies and jeered and spat at British soldiers returning from Afghanistan while the police stood idly by, and now support the attacks on our soldiers because a few Kurans were accidently burned.
I would like to see a Draconian response to these people, most who hide behind face masks, and that is this.
"You are no longer allowed to spout anti western bile while residing here. We are not EVER having any facet of Sharia law in this country. If you go out to protest agains't our returning soldiers, or spew any hatred towards our way of life, you will be rounded up and interred as traitors. You will then have a choice. That choice will be which of several radical muslim states would you like relocating to. Your British passport and right to citizenship will be rescinded permanently without right of appeal." :rules:
OK, I know that may contradict my 'right to free speach/beleif' line, but there are just 3% of this country who are muslims, and only a tiny proportion of them are the radicals who I write about, but look how much trouble they cause?
If my Draconian law could be introduced (if only!), just watch how many of these hate fuelled individuals turned up at the next military homecoming. My guess would be zero!
It would also have a knock on effect, as the EDL wouldn't have a mandate anymore and hopefully would disappear from whens't it came.
Other countries are having a rethink on MultiCulturalism, heres an extract from how the Dutch are going to deal with it from next year (taken from a reliable source)
The Netherlands, where six per cent of the population is now Muslim, is scrapping multiculturalism:
The Dutch government says it will abandon the long-standing model of multiculturalism that has encouraged
Muslim immigrants to create a parallel society within the Netherlands .. A new integration bill, which Dutch Interior Minister Piet Hein Donner presented to parliament on June 16,
reads: "The government shares the social dissatisfaction over the multicultural society model and plans to shift
priority to the values of the Dutch people. In the new integration system, the values of the Dutch society play a central role.
With this change, the government steps away from the model of a multicultural society.
The letter continues: "A more obligatory integration is justified because the government also demands
that from its own citizens. It is necessary because otherwise the society gradually grows apart and eventually no one feels at home
anymore in the Netherlands ... The new integration policy will place more demands on immigrants. For example, immigrants will be
required to learn the Dutch language,
and the government will take a tougher approach to immigrants who ignore Dutch values or disobey Dutch law.
The government will also stop offering special subsidies for Muslim immigrants because, according to Donner
"It is not the government's job to integrate immigrants."
The government will introduce new legislation that outlaws forced marriages and will also impose tougher
measures against Muslim immigrants who lower their chances of employment by the way they dress.
More specifically, the government will impose a ban on face-covering, Islamic burqas as of January 1, 2013.
Holland has done that whole liberal thing, and realised - maybe too late - that creating a nation of tribes
will kill the nation itself
