Suggestion for the site

Mods, can this be stickied please so we can get a good opinion from the site?

Personally, I think having opponent's forums linked would mean more debate and opinion. I often like to see how other fans have viewed us after a good result and it's a real pain having to trawl through google search results to find the 'most popular' forum.

Look at the Shotsweb home page to see what it could look like. http://www.shotsweb.co.uk/mb/viewforum.php?f=1

The poll is open for one week.

Steve.

nice idea Steve. I do like to look at other forums. I noticed that Shots forum only have 3 pages of their thread for tonights match. Thats pretty poor when you look at our forum. we rarely have less than 6 pages. and most of the time it's into double figures. seems our forum is one of the best ones around

Good spot Forever. I don't think it's as pleasing on the eye, but it's smaller and has other leagues and some sports sites.

Great idea mate. With clubs that have more than one forum it is hard to find the 'main' one and i also like to view other forums.

Your time would be better spent putting a prototype of the banner together!

I can't speak for the other 3, but I look at the other Torquay Utd sites several times a week. In comparison I'm unlikely to want to look at a Macclesfield or a Barnet site more than once a year at the very most. This proposal would see us providing permanent links for something I'd rarely if ever use & no links for the other Torquay sites which I am much more interested in checking out, for the obvious reason that they'd be discussing what's happening at our Club & not the new green boots of the reserve left back at Morecambe.

That's probably a bit misleading to be fair - their forum talks about the 'chatroom' being open - so I'd imagine that most of the fans hang out there during the games rather than post on the forum. you'll noticed that the 3 pages thread you mention has "previews, 1-0 torquay, result". fwiw I prefer our way because I can't always get to the forum on match days and it's nice to be able to take a look at what people were saying later on. Presumably with a chat room feature you're not archiving what is being said so it gets lost.

How about if we post a link to the opponents fan site on the matchday topic instead?
