I actually wouldn't mind Hoddle again, he can be a bit of a numpty at times (and a complete and utter numpty once too, why would you even get into a conversation about the disabled when you're the England manager?!) but he did have a decent record and if it isn't to be Redknapp or Lingy, he's probably not a bad shout because he's done it before and will hopefully learn from his mistakes last time. My main worry is that he's been out of the top level management game for a while.

There lies the biggest worry. For what reason is this?

Well he went to Spain to run a Football Academy. His reasons, I wouldn't know. I somehow doubt that sun, sea, sand, lower taxes and girls in skimpy clothing was a deterrent though! He probably has a much more simple life than a Premiership manager.
