oh how the english love a tragedy,
over the past couple of weeks, we have witnessed it seems the whole nation, comming out in a pathethic "grief fest" over the poor man`s heart attack!
gladly it seems he is on the road to recovery which is fantastic news, & lets hope he can make a complete recovery, & maybe just maybe play professional football again,
but dear old dear, how the grieving masses have jumped on this poor man`s misfortune, even to the extent of some misguided idiots, erecting " in their words not mine, a special fabrice shrine"
jesus christ the man is still happily alive! you don`t errect a bloody shrine to someone who is still in the land of the living!!
contrast this british sobfest, with the real tradgedy of the 6no.young soldiers who were killed in action in "that shithole that is afghanistan"
near enough on the same day,
if a shrine,a prayer, or a display of grief, is required surely IT MUST BE AIMED AT THESE , BRAVE LADS - R.I.P. god bless you!!

Agree totally. Didn't want to have a rant about it as it is a sensitive issue and i'm not an idiot nor insensitive or one of those 'troll' thingies but when things like this happen the OTT brigade in the media and football start rubbing their hands. Obviously it is an extremely sad and tragic event and to happen to anyone never mind a footballer is a tragedy BUT worse things happen all the time to all sorts of people and you just have to accept it and get on with it. OK it happened, the game was called off, Fabrice received expert medical attention and there was discussion about it for days afterwards. There may be cause for tributes to him to be aired by his teammates / manager / fans etc. That's it. THE END.

We don't need the players wearing ridiculous t-shirts or minutes silences or two minutes clapping . HE IS STILL ALIVE YOU MORONS! (Thankfully obviously). It's like the Princess Diana tragedy. People crying in the streets, public outpourings of grief. Understandable if you ACTUALLY met her or knew her. I didn't know her, i'd never met her and i'm not a royalist so although it was a sad occurrence i didn't rally care one way or the another about the Diana thing. It didn't affect my life. At the time i remember a few people at work having a go at me about it saying why wasn't i upset or don't i have any compassion. I'd try and help folk if they are in trouble and i'm a generally nice chap but if something tragic happens away from my immediate vicinity to someone i don't know then thats life. Nothing i can do about it and i'm not going to start crocodile tears just because that is what people expect.

I think the Fabrice incident happened after our game at Burton and i was driving home listening to Talksport and all they could do was say what had happened and that Fabrice had gone to hospital and there was no more news BUT THEY KEPT ON TALKING ABOUT IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN and kept on saying there was no news. OK there is no news, now can you start talking about the other football that has been played like you normally do and bring us some news if you get any? Pardon me for being insensitive but life goes on, i don't know Fabrice nor am i a Bolton fan so it doesn't affect me. Whats the point in wasting a 3 hour show just constantly telling us there is no news!!!!!!!! BRING IT TO US WHEN YOU GET SOME THN YOU TWATS!!

Gladly all is well with Fabrice at it stands and i sincerely hope he makes a full recovery. That is all I, AND 99.9% of other people in football and the media who don't know him need to say and feel.

but of course with a prem footy player it will pick up the press etc.

in all honesty and without sounding harsh, he required defibrillation and eventually it worked.

Chagford is a close knit community, as are all the moorland villages around it and the sudden passing of one of their own will be deeply felt.

Yes absolutely, i got lost once on the way through Dartmoor from Tavvy to Exeter and ended up in Chagford. Nice village, all friendly and a close knit community. It's a sad story all round.
