Player Of The Year!

Post by yellowarmytufc »

We are close to that time of the year again....Player Of The Year!
Therefore, who would you like to see in the top 3?

I'm going for;
1) Olejnik
2) Mansell
3) Howe

One of toughest ones I've had to do, could be any of the players,
olejnik 18 clean sheets some of the saves he's made has left me speechless,
Ellis been outstanding as usual, saah been brilliant since he's came into squad, oastler made the right back his position, nicholson been one of most consistent players, o'kane has been brilliant as well, mansell 12 goals so far in midfield gave 100% every game as usual, damon lathrope has been given a chance this season and has grabbed it with both hands and been outstanding stevens been much better this season morris came in and gave his best, mcphee when needed has came in and done a good job, howe been fantastic apart from few red cards but our leading scorer so, ateino came in and done job which has been needed and has some very important goals under his belt.

However if i needed to stick my neck and choose ill have to say:

1.) olejnik
2.) mansell
3.) o'kane

Lathrope will get my vote. Though I think Olejnik will get it. Or Mansell.

Thought last year was tough, this one is going to be harder, so many who you could vote for.

Lee Mansell player of the season for me, our very own captain marvel, his leadership fight and determination on the field of play have dragged us through at times, he never see's any cause as lost, and that rub's off on the rest of the team, and 13 very important goals to boot. This is bourne out by Accrington away ,I did not go , many who did fan's/ coaching staff alike described that game as our most inept powderpuff performance of the season, the only game Manse has not played in.

Bobby.O easily worth 10 points this season, nearly as good as Danny Potter :)

Rene Howe , Lingy has given the lad a chance, a home and he has repaid that faith in bucket loads.

Damon Lathrope would be my young player of the season, remember going to the devon bowel match with Buckland over a year ago, saw Lathrope sent off, and he was appalling that night, my view as a fan was give Tivvy a ring and get rid.

What a diffence a year has made to my opinion, I think this lad has come on leaps and bounds, real unsung hero, and now one of our most important players.

No 1 is Chris McPhee and no. 2 is Chris McPhee and 3 is Chris McPhee and no. 4 is Chris McPhee
We all dream of a team of Chris McPhees a team of Chris McPhees a team of Chris McPhees. :keepie:

Well Paul does.

My votes:

Bobby
Manse
Rene

Although I'm not sure which order they should be in. This year has been great all around.

1. Lee Mansell (Captain Marvell)
2. Lee Mansell (Captain Marvell)
3. Lee Mansell (Captain Marvell)

With respect to the rest,
Consistant performances all season, outstanding motivator and P.O.S. long over due. (I know he was awared it but never presented in that season that we don't talk about) and he's already stated he wants to be here next season.

And I'd put money on him being players player of the year too.

Lathrope
Mansell
Olejnik

Its not often that one player comes in and makes such a noticable impact to results. (O.k its not as simple as that and not just down to Damon, but you see my point)

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
