It's sad to say the Scholes is still our best and most creative midfielder.

In fairness, that's a bit like Barca, 20 years from now, bemoaning the fact that no one has come in to better Messi. Scholes is a freak, a true exception to the rule, the best English midfielder ever (well, he makes a bloody good case).
Matt.

I agree. The fact that the Barca players all still rate speaks volumes.

I remember a few years back when Barca were really hitting their peak either Xavi or Iniesta saying they'd hate to play in the same team as Scholes because they wouldn't get on the pitch! The guy is sheer class, if only he had the ability to tackle.

Phil Jones would be a defensive midfielder in my eyes as he did an amazing job for Manure there earlier in the season.
