i love german football!!
as a subscriber to ESPN i probably watch more german football than i do english and i have to say i absolutely love it!
its noisy, both teams in most games seem to play football as it should be played, stacks of goals, employ some of the best and most coveted players in europe, the entrance fees are ludicously low and include travel to and from the games, the stadiums are almost always packed, segregation seems a low priority, you can still stand on safe terraces and you can drink beer and smoke tabs wherever you want
plus the league and, by the looks of their 3-1 ht lead, cup winners borussia dortmund play in yellow!!
the only downside is their woeful fashion sense, cut off denim waistcoats pickled in badges and mullets!!

Ich leibe Deutsche fußball.
That's probably not right, but I'll bet it's close.
If Bayern are as good as they are and they finished 7th (or wherever), I assume the standard is very high.
Matt.

Ich liebe Deutsche Fußball.
I went over to see Werder Bremen v Hertha Berlin many years ago and the atmosphere was fantastic. Bremen had Claudio Pizarro at the time who was epic for them. I really liked the idea they use when the announcer says who scored, all he'd do is say the goalscorers first name and let the crowd finish. It was also funny when it's perfectly acceptable to use the person in front's chair as a drum when there was a corner. Hearing 30,000 people using chairs as drums certainly adds to the atmosphere!
Hmm... perhaps we could do the same with stamping feet?

bayern munich absolutely destroyed there, 5-2 in end, hattrick for robert lewandowski
bayern with half a mind on the champions league final possibly, but still a hugely impressive thrashing by dortmund!

Dammit, i before e, Matt, i before e!
Thought Munich were doing really badly this year, not sure where I got that from, but I definitely got it from somewhere.

They started off poorly and started bringing it back just before Christmas if I remember correctly. They were never really miles off the top though.
