Sure you've all seen this?

If not, basically he's gone mental at Wes Foderingham, their first choice keeper, who made a mistake for a Preston goal yesterday. Was subbed off after 21 mins, replaced by a youth. WF then went and sat in the stands, and Di Canio has vowed not to play him again until he apologises to the fans.

Outstanding.

Good on Di Canio too. He's said it isn't the fact he made a mistake, it is his arrogance. Some people might not like him but he's passionate and he doesn't take any s**t.

As someone who can be over the top with my criticisms and ideologies, i can totally agree with a lot that Di Canio says and does. Just because his way of conducting things isn't the 'norm' he is a 'character' or a 'loose cannon' or an 'eccentric'. No he is none of those things. He has an idea of what he wants and if he doesn't get it then he identifies why and sorts it out. Now i'm not saying he is right to do some things the way he does but if he believes he is right and doesn't care what anyone else thinks then i respect that and that's the way to live your life. Not coming out with media friendly sounbites all the time just because you are on a good salary and don't want to upset anyone like most managers do. Self preservation for most and they are all boring as ****. I don't know the ins and outs of the story but he agrees that any player is capable of making a mistake but it was the arrogance and attitude of Foderingham that made him take the course of action he did. Good on him. A lot of players nowadays are just spoilt children, even at lower league level and they think they can conduct themselves in a way that disregards everyone else and i admire Di Canio for making a tough decision and sticking the youth team keeper in there. At the end of the day it will be Di Canio who suffers if his decision goes tits up but at least he has the balls to make it and accept the flak if that is to happen. It is called having a backbone and affording respect to fellow professionals and fans by eliminating the tossers like Foderingham. Maybe if David Cameron was of a similar ilk we might have a cabinet full of dynamic, can do , no nonsense politicians and actually get stuff done instead of swindlers, cheats, sexual deviants and fox killers.

Seen it, the most appalling piece of football management I've seen, seems Swindon fans are split over it aswell, with some supporting Di Canio, some calling him a lunatic who may have or about to lose the dressing room , time will tell there.

On the other hand one of the fairest aswell. Can't remember which team West Ham was playing but opposition keeper was injured on the floor and the ball was crossed in and Di Canio just had to nod it in but instead caught the ball and shook his head at his team mates. Harry Redknapp said he could of rung his neck.

Agreed, I do remember him doing that, however as a manager if he wasn't happy with his keeper why play him, then take him off after 21 minutes, what does that say to the rest of the team, or any potential new signings, there are respectful and dissrespectful ways of dealing with players regardless of level or age they are.That was totaly out of order, and if i was this young keeper who its well known has great potential and will not be short of offers, think I would tell DiCanio to shove his club up his arse.

The majority of us complained about how Buckle treated players got in there faces, upset them all the time, to fair DiCanio makes Buckle look like footballs version of a U.N peackeeper, yet DiCanio is some kind of god like manager who handles players the right way, strange.

That was Everton - Paul Gerrard was in goal.

Think Di Canio got some sort of fair play award for that too.

I have to come on and say what a gross misjudgement of character i have made regards Di Canio. I empathised with his eccentricity and strong views given i have both myself and i thought that underneath he was a decent and reasonable person.

I am now happy to admit my mistake and that i got it wrong. The man is a total fanny.

Not being funny, but his club were losing money left, right and centre. Why is he complaining that they'd take decent money for one of his biggest assets?

Di Canio lives in some sort of fantasy land where he things lower league English clubs should spend money left right and centre, have 30 man squads and just be able to change them if things arent' working well.

Bloke's a moron, welcome to the real world Paulo where clubs are broke, you have to manage small squads and get the best out of them, you have to live within your means and you can't sign players for £100,000 and for them to fail. He's been playing fantasy football for a year and it's no surprise to see Swindon in trouble again off the field, their player turnover is ludicrous.

If we spent the money they did last year we'd be out of business.
