New York Stadium

Post by AustrianAndyGull »

Morning all. I'm thinking of going to the Rotherham v York game tonight at the NEW YORK STADIUM in the JPT so i will be able to let you guys know all about the place ahead of our visit there next weekend. I don't know if any of you have ever been there but i'll hopefully be able to post some info on here in terms of facilities, parking, view, atmosphere ( obviously it's a JPT game so there won't be any! ) and any other info i can. I'm going to go in the York end to see if i can bump into some old faces as i used to follow York home and away for a few years in my youth. I might even bump into Trigger! :'( . For those of you not familiar with the York faithful, Trig is the obligatory eccentric fan that every club seems to have. Ours is Paul Bast*rd i believe? Anyway trig just runs up and down, spitting food from his mouth and shouting and screaming random noises that are impossible for humans to make. As i will be going in the away end it will obviously be the same stand we will be in next week so it will be like fo like and i can let you know about it. I was gonna go down the road to Chesterfield v Oldham but i opted for Rotherham as i can be there in 20 and it is much more closer and more accessible to me than the Don Valley, plus York are my 'third' club and it will be good to see them again. Andy's fact of the day, i do have a cat called Vienna named after the Austrian capital obviously but i also have a cat called Minster named after the club and the ecclesiastical giant of the city. Also , crab sticks don't actually contain any crab and manufacturers are now legally obliged to label them 'crab flavoured sticks'. Another one of those same time tomorrow!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
