Leeds fan hits Kirkland

Post by stevegull »

Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper and former England international Chris Kirkland was attacked by a Leeds fan after conceding a goal in the 1-1 draw.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20012421

Rumours on the net suggest it was this guy: http://x.com/neilyboy6/status/259393584 ... 08/photo/1

And a little extra digging will show you this: http://www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk/ ... story.html

Both managers at the game are understandably distraught, with Jones (?) suggesting that Leeds fans should be banned from travelling to away matches. Warnock said he was ashamed to be a manager after the events.

What do you lot think? Should all Leeds fans be banned? What action should be taken? How can we stop these things happening without spoiling the experience for the plenty good fans that attend matches?

Footage here until it gets ripped off youtube:

Castration is the only cure. We cant do much about chavs but at least we can stop them breeding.

Seriously though, I don't think its fair to tar all supporters with the same brush as I'm sure Leeds have a huge majority of fans who just want to watch games and support their team. All of those people who went on the pitch should be banned for life from all football grounds, charged with trespassing and in the case of the guy who 'punched' Kirkland should be charged with assault.

I am absolutely fuming about this. Does this boy have no morals and respect?!
Kirkland didn't deserve that and he has every right to play for his team without checking behind him for fear of being hit.
This guy seriously needs his face at every ground (not that I would want it to ruin the walls) but so that he can't get in and all the stewards should know his face too.
It's idiots like this that bring a bad name to football. It's an absolute disgrace! I would never dream of doing such a disrespectful disgusting thing.
Bet he's sat there now all chuffed with himself because he is on the news and trending on Twitter. Something needs to be done about him.
Absolute tool. :@ :@ :@ :@

So hard to write this without swearing!!!

On the Leeds forum they are obviously all universially against this man. Some of them even go as far as saying that the rest of the Leeds fans shouldn't have let him back into the stands.

I saw some of them slapping his back as if to say well done.
Would have been the best outcome if they didn't let him back into the stands as then he would have to stand on the pitch like the total tw*t he is.

and he put this on facebook:

Chris Kirkland don't want to press charges result thay is proper result that is ! Leeds MOT

and then replied to someone saying

Aaron Cawley Tell someone who gives a f**k

The person that did this is a cowardly little piece of dirt. The Leeds fans who protect him should be totally ashamed of themselves. What they should be doing is handing him over to the police after giving him slap or two. Ban him from football for life.

I agree with the castration proposal, I would happily oblige myself as I have some new, very sharp scissors.

Disgusting to see. They don't help themselves do they.

On a totally irrelevant note, I couldn't help but laugh at Northampton last night - Davids plays his first game for Barnet, they win 4-0. Genuinely hoping he plays at Plainmoor - a class act.

Put him in front of a firing squad and pump him full of lead. Then we all move on and society is improved. It really is that simple.

He has now been arrested. I hope that his new boyfriend in jail, probably a 20 stone animal called Stan, is gentle with him. It's OK though, because he was boasting on Facebook about all the sex that he had after the Sheffield Wednesday game.

It's not very sharp scissore this bellend needs. it's a rusty pair of bent twisted blunt scissors. or am I showing my insanity again. I hope not.
This **** is known to me. I lived In Gloucester and he is a well know troublemaker. he mixes with some very dubious individuals. Living in one of the less salubrious areas of Cheltenham. It's not quite the posh place you all think it is.
I am half Welsh and have to put us with more than a few taunts of sheep shagger but I must say that some of the dross that hang around with him that parade as female are not as good looking as the sheep they claim I shag.. besides if you ain't tried it don't knock it.

Aaron Cawley has been sent to prison for 4 months I believe. Also been banned from being within a mile of Elland Road on matchdays for 5 years. Leeds have confirmed they are putting their own life ban on him attending games.

I've gotta say I'm impressed the courts have settled this one so quickly and handed out an appropriate punishment. (Even though some people will never learn!)

If he ACTUALLY serves 4 months and not 2 then, yes. Rare praise for the justice system for once. How do enforce a lifetime ban though? Just say he supported us and he was a regular on the pop, whats to stop him going in the bench for example, its not as if our stewards ( or any stewards of an equivalent club ) would have a photo of him etched into their memory so they could id him when he gained entry. Also, Leeds have 30,000 fans so surely he could get in to another part of Elland Road without being pulled up?

I guess you would have to have his ugly mug stuck up on all the walls the office etc at the turnstiles and each steward to have a copy to refer to.

No doubt he'll sneak in somehow.
