Their not ghosts for goodness sake. It's only Matt and Trojan walking home at night and looking out for you to see if they can put the wind up you. Only available on nights when you have had a curry.

The only other reason is. it's the phantom head shaver of Old London Town.!

Sorry for the serious post, my Mother and Father in law both died in 1999 in thier early 60's both died of cancer, up until that point never really thought about Ghosts, after things that happened on the day of their deaths and since, I now really do believe their is something after death.

Well my Oma ( Austrian grandmother ) i used to call her Oma, when she died at 3.30 in the morning she had cancer , i awoke in bed after a nightmare sweating and screaming at EXACTLY the same time as she passed on. I found out the day after that she had died and what time and that coincided with my nightmare. Bloody weird.

Yoo hoo (or given the topic, should it be wooooo-hoooo? Sorry). Not posted for ages but still a regular reader and couldn't resist replying on this subject. Those who know me will vouch for the fact that I am sensible, sane and very grown up, and yes, I absolutely believe in 'ghosts'. Not the white sheet with eyes cut out stylee, but definitely the proper sort. By pure chance I got interested in all this stuff about 10 years ago and since that time, there have been a number of events that have reinforced my belief. It annoys me when people pass it off as coincidence or try and ridicule it - the things that have happened to me are not easily explained and until such times as someone can prove they were all hoaxes, I shall stand my corner.Furthermore, I reckon that the ones who are vocal in their disbelief are just scaredy cats, so man-up chaps and embrace the fact that ghosts co-exist with us ;-)

I've had four weird experiences, one was at Berry Pomeroy castle when i was visiting on holiday. On leaving the car park going away from the castle down the driveway i had to stop the car as a sudden overwhelming feeling of sickness came over me. Once i had regained composure and had exited the grounds i was back to normal. Apparently a friend of mine who has too much time on her hands and watches that Most Haunted programme, she says that he team on there went to Berry Pomeroy and the feeling of nausea when leaving is a common phenomenon. I had a spooky experience at my Oma's house once, it was a massive rambling place with statues of trolls all over and she had a basement cellar ( no remarks about me being Austrian and locked in it please! ) and in that cellar was a table tennis table that my cousin and i used to play on when visiting. One day we went down the long flight of stairs in darkness as the light switch was at the bottom of the stairs ( that makes sense, bloody stupid Austrians ). Anyway we heard a ping pong ball being wahcked which got louder the further we both descended the stairs and when i put the light on we saw two table tennis bats fall to the ground. No sh*t, and needless to stay i never went down there again until i was much older. Another spooky experience i had was at Athelhampton Hall in Dorset, near the Tolpuddle Martyrs museum. Anyway, i rattled off a load of photos at the very top floor which wasn't permitted but i thought f*@k it, a few won't do any harm and if the guides say anything i'll just threaten to have them kneecapped  . When i got the photos developed they were all perfect bar one which had a long white coil like orb thingy on it. It was massive too and completely unexpected anyway, i read that these coil type things were spirits from another portal. My final weird experience was when i went to Accrington a few years back to watch Torquay and i found that the locals were human just like us! F*ckin' weird man! :aww:

It wasn't a ghost, your batteries just recharged and your toy woke you up :)

Oh Dave, that is a terrible (if probably entirely true) thing to say...

Hi Jane :scarf:

I used to go to Berry Pomeroy Castle late at night with a group of mates when I was younger and that place is seriously freaky. Something definitely 'not right' about that place. Totnes Castle on the other hand is great for a midnight game of football in the keep!

I've also seen a floating female apparition in a graveyard. It wasn't particularly scary at the time, but I was absolutely positive what I was seeing was real.

We used to go there after the pub. The ball never went out of play as the keep is round and the noise stayed inside the castle. Good fun although I can't quite believe they never used to lock the gate!

our crew used to go up to berry pomeroy quite a few times after the pub. most times absolutely sod all happened and we were having a right laugh. a couple of times though some serious $h!t happened. there was definitely something in the dungeon one night there was a few of us in there in the dark huddled together when we felt someone else brush past. torches on - nobody there.

another time loads of us were there messing about and the atmosphere changed, we all saw a white figure by the main gate. all of us felt the sickness and nausea thing as we left. never went back at night again.

i have seen and felt dodgy things before, out of the blue and for no reason, even in my mum and dads house.

some places you go to that look really creepy and gloomy that you would think are haunted you dont feel a thing. others that are sometimes quite modern and light can give you that goosebump feeling, the hairs on the back of your neck prickle and you feel petrified. :Z
people say its your mind playing tricks but explain that.
